I am buying a Super Off-Peak Return from Worcester to Euston, limited to West Midlands Railway / London Northwestern trains only.
I'll be travelling to London this Sunday, breaking the return journey and stopping overnight on Sunday in Northampton, and returning Monday evening.

I would like to travel from station A to station B, tomorrow.
A return is around £40.
What I always do is buy a ticket from station A to station C. A permitted route is to change at station B. I cut the journey short, never actually go to C, always alight at station B, and get the whole...
I know. But I'm going to be in Preston this week. This is why I asked the question stating I would be starting and finishing there.

Starting in Preston, I would like to visit Blackburn, Darwen and Westhoughton, and end up back in Preston, the same day.
What is the cheapest way of doing this? Is there a day return from Preston to a certain station that would allow me to break my journey at those three places?
Couldn't they get any of several per hour New Street - University trains for the first part of the journey, heading to Redditch / Bromsgrove / Hereford? (And then, of course, get the hourly stopping train from University - Cheltenham).

If not, would I be allowed to get to Liverpool using other operator's...
How about buying a ticket from Worcester to Smethwick Rolfe Street? That's £8.80 return and then I can actually change at either New Street or Galton Bridge?
Then either buy the return ticket from either Rolfe Street, Galton Bridge, or New Street to Newtown - whichever is cheaper / gives me...
That's was what I was thinking.
I was going to change at Bromsgrove, then my train will call at Longbridge. I have plenty of time because the first train I can get from New Street to Newtown is at 8.25.

How about I pay 60p more and split the ticket at Northfield...
I want to know what would be the cheapest way to buy a day return from Worcester to Newton (Powys), please.
Does anybody know of any combination of tickets for under £30?
I'll be travelling on a Saturday, returning the same day. I don't want advance purchase tickets as I want flexibility and...
