I would doubt it, they don't get 4 axle locos (I can't remember one) due to curvature at Keighley.

For anyone who usually watches activities from the bridge over Haworth yard worth noting it will be a bit different this year with trains not under much power in that area due to speed restrictions.

Where are they crossing each other all the time? They cross on the flat at Huddersfield ISH, they cross grade separated at Ravensthorpe. That's it isn't it?

Don't trust the Daily Mail but equally Network Rail are far from perfect and there is large regional variance in how it deals with neighbours.

Yes fair point, should have said replacement with a River Severn crossing and not specified tunnel!

As a driver not sure I'd fancy going into a long underwater tunnel at extreme caution only! One day I suspect there be an economic case for redoing the tunnel with a brand new bore. There may already be one...

They have some through services but these are currently not running due to the Leeds-Thornhill LNW Junction blockade.

Same happened to us on the exact same sleeper in November, except we were lucky and it was only 9 minutes earlier. We showed the ticket to check it was the same one and they just rolled their eyes and said, nobody told you? Us and about 10 other people as the service number had changed too...
