Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I don't think the current livery is going anywhere. I think this new one is an addition. They are actively repainting every XLB into a fresh coating at present and the last of the 401-425 group repaints are being completed, including 411 having returned earlier today. Saying that, the current...

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

I don't think any of them will end up being operated under Lothian Motorcoaches.

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

I'm doubtful it won't - any other options would cost more! The recommendations narrowly meet the budget.

Edinburgh & The Lothians Council Tender Services

Recommendations are now published for the Transport & Economic committee on Thursday (map on page 7): Lothian would operate the Gyle to Hermiston Gait via Ratho, interworking with Queensferry to Gyle (probably allowing for these to use 3 buses instead of 4). They would also operate the local...

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

This is true, although I'd like to see how many passengers actually use these online booking systems. At least for Airlink are any drivers able to comment on this? I know this website has also offered ticketing online, including before Bright Bus started their service. There are several 5 star...

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

How many tourists are actually looking at ticket options at the Airport? At least from my view, it really is a case of them just taking the service closest to their arrivals hall. When I arrived into Edinburgh recently, everyone walked straight out the arrivals terminal, straight to the exit...

    Bright Bus Airport Express service

This was introduced with the Airport Express, although it has fallen from £41 (I believe) to £25

    McGill’s Midland Bluebird

Which there are none spare of as they are all at Bright Bus. I would assume an Enviro 400 like the Dundee tour.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I'm doubtful. It looks like it may've even been towed based on the lack of tracking between Longstone & Ferrymill.

Despite this it has now moved to Ferrymill Motors.

I believe at least one of the Airlink ones is longer -

510 looks to have minimal damage. The car involved is much worst.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

They started Airlink, then split between Lothian (426-430) and Skylink (431-437). 431-437 later joined the city fleet still in Skylink colours operating services 45 and then 41 until they were repainted madder in 2021. As for the zoo ones, most of them were given a polish with lower panels...

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

I've wanted these vehicles to be repainted for over a year now but sadly it hasn't happened. They (426-430) were repainted in 2017 so are most certainly due a repaint, and I see no reason why they shouldn't as they are painting the XLBs which all have a newer paint job. Unless there are plans...

In my eyes, just taking advantage of it to compete, even though they aren't affected by the works prompting Airlink to move!

    Scottish Citylink

Good spot. The PDF timetable is attached (pages 5 and 10, other pages shows the old and new timetables combined). It will also serve Ballieston. Note the PDF only shows the direction towards Edinburgh. You would have to refer to one of the combined timetables for the times to Glasgow.

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

No idea. There could be. You could also have one in June or July, or later in the year. I'm doubtful they're following the same system that they have been in the last few years. Could there be one after a good number of the BZLs enter service?

Lothian Group discussion (Lothian City, Lothian Country Bus and East Coast Buses)

There is no change then, simply. They change the general registration spreadsheet on a Monday which sites like bustimes.org receive data from. They also update notices and proceedings on a Monday. The bus registrations page can update any time during the week. The registration for the Bright...
