Unless I was going mad 319450 (think it was) is in a revised white livery with dark blue doors not standard tl blue

Is this in preparation for northern?

Just been on said unit (presumably, I didn't see the number).
Two quick photos attached.
The grabrails were turquoise, and I'm sure the lino was a lighter colour (although that might just have been due to it not having had enough time to acquire the Thameslink 'cleanliness' standard)
Still using dynamic blocks moquette and pink seat back grab handles.
It also looked like the wall panels were a lighter shade of grey than the other refurbs, but again that could be down to an insufficiency of fly carcasses and stale weed smoke in the lighting diffusers. Put it on the Catford loop again tomorrow, and South East London's finest fauna can ensure that normal cleanliness standards are rapidly achieved.

Hmmm, the turqouise grab handles are confusing especially if it is meant to be destined for Northern???!!

Now just trying to judge if the door colour is the same shade as the Northern ones!

ah yeh i see.

the pictures i can see of northern 319s though they have white coloured handrails.

*existing northern 319s! I suspect that 319450 will find itself with a livery not dissimilar to 158752 before long

319 450 is on the list to go to Northern
Original list

319 004 and 005
319 218 and 219 BOTH at Allerton
319 424
319 431
319 434
319 442
319 448
319 450
319 456
319 458

Sorry I got that one wrong.
319218 and 319219 are as you say at Allerton and 219 has lost parts to repair a 319/3.

319001 seems to keep turning up for me on the Catford Loop, complete with almost untouched 1989 interior (even still has the Eddie Ponds underneath advert frames).

With 'Edward Ponds' in first class, I wonder? That was certainly how the two two classes had his signature presented when the units were new.

I think Domh245 has the reason. All Northern's 319s are to have a major refurbishment so maybe this is the route they are going?

What is the livery that people are talking about? There is a 319 outside Allerton in a remarkably dull livery with what I think are blue doors which I believe is a new or interim Thameslink Livery. The logo on the side certainly isn't Northern. If anyone can advise I'm happy to listen.

That sounds like the current Thameslink livery. Basically undercoat with light blue doors.

319450 is the same as the others but had doors that are more purple than blue.

As has been posted previously there are two 319s at Allerton in the latest Thameslink livery with Thameslink names on their sides. These are 319218 which is at the Hunts Cross end of the depot and 319219 at the Liverpool South Parkway end.

Cheers mate, thought I had read that, wasn't sure if it was on here or from a mate who is a driver.

I asked because I was reading above that they were being prepared to go to Northern and I thought it was the actual Thameslink livery.

Just a thought, turquoise = Arriva? Perhaps this is a subtle way of Arriva imprinting themselves on the units given that generally Northern units will not carry Arriva's distinct livery?
