I'm starting to look up prices for going home at Christmas and I'm not seeing any Advances. I assume this is related to the current timetabling shenanigans with Network Rail.
Anyone know when these tickets are likely to appear?
The one thing The Trainline is good for is things like this - they let you
sign up to alerts for when Advance tickets go on sale. Some operators, e.g. ATW, are currently only selling Advances until the end of November.
Other Trainline rebrands (e.g. XC) also let you sign up to Advance release alerts, and offer much more favourable conditions when selling tickets (e.g. not charging a booking fee, and letting you change Advances fee-free prior to travel), but limit alerts to their specific route only.
