Well done everyone that has received contracts.
I’ve got my 2nd assessment on 25th Jan
I feel like I’m well prepared but its all I can think about.
Has anyone got any last minute advice?

I also got my contract today . Can't wait to get started now .
Quick question for those of you who had your contracts today , it says to return the uniform slip as well as the contract , but I didn't get one , did you lot ? Also I've not been asked to provide any job references yet , anyone know if Freightliner are going to contact our current employers , or do they not worry about that.

I understand, my wording probably wasn't the best. By not passing I meant unsuccessful. I should stop second guessing really and just wait and see what happens.
So to clarify, I was talking about if you pass the assesments, you won’t necesserily be offered a job. I passed the assessments but wasn’t offered a job (it doesn’t mean you’re not suitable, just that others performed better at interview....that’s what I keep telling myself anyway haha).

I don't imagine any of us that got passed the interview are guaranteed a job either to be honest.

I was told that everyone who got through would be put into the pool. This is apparently common across the rail sector now so it's just a waiting game. On the email it clearly states that once positions are available they will contact to arrange medical and look forward to welcoming you to freightliner in the near future... to me guys that's pretty much you've got the job it's just a question of when you start

Would like to think this is the case but when I had my DMI, I asked “if you make it into the talent pool, would I be guaranteed a position?”
The reply was, unfortunately they cannot guarantee it, it all depends on the business needs.

I didn’t get a uniform slip either! Im going to give them a call on Monday and ask for one.
References wise I would have thought they would use the details on my CV to obtain these.

See you in March!

Congratulations to all who now have contracts in hand, must be a great feeling!

Out of interest who is waiting for Peterborough and how long have you been in the pool?
Also who has started on a course for Peterborough?

Got contract and also have no uniform form, but I emailed one to them back when they hoped I would be on the December course so hopefully that’s still on file.

Wonder which hotel we will get put up in on Crewe?

Exciting times indeed.

I know the feeling, I have been in since end of November myself, I don’t mind how long it takes, it’s just the not knowing if it’s definitely going to happen. Keeping positive though.

Never even seen Bedford mentioned so far! How did that come about? Did they just put you there as it’s closer to you?

Congratulations to everyone receiving contracts a great start to 2019 especially if you've been waiting a while. It's the waiting that does it for you, but well worth it in the end.
