To try and get back on topic, I just remembered the Southeastern Javelin rainbow 395012. I like the design.

Why are you so keen to not acknowledge that the Pride flag has a specific design and meaning?

I completely understand and acknowledge that it has a specific design and meaning. I was just suggesting that it *could* be open to interpretation. Once again, I apologize for any offence my comments may have caused and for going OT.

To try and get back on topic, I just remembered the Southeastern Javelin rainbow 395012. I like the design.

I like it too, smart and similar to the GWR design on 800008 but wrapped around the more curved front of the Javelin.

The background colour is better, too!
I think SWR's 444019 and LNWR's 350373 are also in some form of "Trainbow" livery?
I believe it’s 350375, and has rainbow applied by the green surrounding the cab area.

Let's not turn this thread into a poltical argument or this could get closed down quickly.

Anyway,

I agree about the 444, I really like its trainbow, SWR should do another one for one of the 442s which I would love to see!

Probably throw in more trainbows one of each for the 701, 450 and 158/9...

Which TOCs don't have a Trainbow?

I think CrossCountry, West Mids, Northern among others

I think LNR has its logo in rainbow, not sure if this is visible on the 350s? Anyone feel free to let me know whether this is correct or not

Until this thread I never realised the pride flag only had 6 colours. I just look and see a shorthand for rainbow

I'm a big fan of Avanti's new Trainbow. Looks fantastic and to be including the Progress flag is even better. Hands down the best one out there, in my opinion.
I think Avanti have made a great effort, and should be applauded.

Just a gentle reminder that this thread is to specifically discuss the best UK "Trainbow".

I've moved some posts that were discussing the general use of the rainbow flag by different groups to this thread over in General Discussion:

Thanks :)

Also do one of the incoming 484s, I forgot about these

I like the Class 700 the best out of all of them because it genuinely improves the livery. I imagine that if First still used their corporate branding, the FCC and Dynamic Lines liveries would great in a rainbow colour scheme.

I've not yet seen the Thameslink one in person, but it looks really good. It adds colour to what might be considered as an otherwise bland livery. I've seen the GWR one quite a few times and I like that one too; it works well in the place where the GWR matte green stripe over the logo would be.

I've seen 800008, GWR's trainbow, in person several times, and I think it's quite nice. A bit small compared to other liveries (such as Avanti's Pendolino, which is lovely and colourful), but still a nice touch.

-Peter

800008 the same which ever way you look at it. Nice touch.

A big fan of 700155 personally. Very much liked 390045 'Virgin Pride' too, although not keen on the name.

It's not just trains either. Southampton Central was renamed "SOProud Central" and the footbridge was painted in rainbow colours for Pride a couple of years back.

It is quite nice - a lovely palindrome :)

That's excellent - a footbridge rainbow is something I've not seen done before.

But potentially confusing for some passengers who may not necessarily be familiar with the area, such as overseas visitors.

Does anyone have a full list of 'Trainbow' units/locos?

I've not seen one posted anywhere, so I had a go at compiling one!

This is incomplete, and I'd like to add unit names and descriptions of the liveries for as many units as possible.
If anyone has this information, notices a mistake or sees that any information here is out of date, please let me know and I will post an amended version.

What about GBRf 66773 does that count as that has pride branding on it with the 'Pride of GB Railfreight' nameplate too?
