The 320s are being used rather differently, no?

You would imagine if anything the 320s are (and have been) used more intensively than the 321s which can often be found laid up in the sidings waiting for the rush hour.

Going to have to keep the branch open tomorrow if this is to run, been pretty much closed all day beyond Thorpe le Soken today even after ploughing it twice, the snow drifts keep returning and we’ve had another 3 ins or so this evening.
Guess this issue caught them out today considering the working didn't get too far before being cancelled

I'm a little surprised that so many are laid up. They must be confident of getting many more 720s in service before the service increases again. By comparison, all bar one of the 55 class 317s survived the first lockdown. I rather assumed that the remaining non PRM examples would go in the bin on January 25th this year but they haven't yet.

Slightly early through Sonning with 37884 at head and 321356 at rear. Two more trips to Sims from Harwich this time are scheduled next week, on Tuesday (23rd and Friday (26th).

Also is there any idea of the unit numbers?

37884 is reported to have run down to Parkeston from Derby on this working today presumably to work the above tomorrow (Tue 23rd)

Realtime Trains - 090H 1212 Derby R.T.C.(Network Rail) to Parkeston H.S.

No idea what units are going for disposal.

37884 with 321344 & 321358
Most certainly was and more or less on time through goring and streatly to. However there is another move for this Friday the 26th February 2021 as well. Showing on realtime trains and live rail record. However a sad shame again that 321s and mk3 ex emr sets are going very rapidly for scrap now as well.

Roughly how many class 321s would be gone by the 1st of April?
At this rate just over half of the NON PRM units, probably. These are 321331-366 and all of the 321/4s.

Here is a list of the current status of Greater Anglia 321/322 fleet, including PRM status

Image shows a table outlining the withdrawal of Class 321s. Information shown is that 321334/344-345/348-352/356-358/363-364/366/422/425/435/437/438/442/446/448 (22 units) have been withdrawn from use at Greater Anglia.

About 30 if four per week is correct.
Thanks. that would mean that there would be 72 class 321s left. 42 real class 321s if you take out the ruined (renatus) units. Are there any ex silverlink units set for scrap in the future up till 2nd april. (units 402, 405-410, 419, 421 to 437.)

Some of those are parked at Parkeston but I'm afraid I have no knowledge as to their fate.

I see, I need to go on 321427, it has the grey blue and white livery that they used for national express, are any trains that look like that at Parkeston? 321s are the best trains in existence. I've been on 427 twice but never filmed anything while on it. If they are at Parkeston, are they off lease or something or will they be used for services on the GEML.

Is that off to scrap now? I think I've been on it, don't remember. I assumed I've been on it because the door alarm I've filmed matches one I saw on youtube. Doesn't this unit have them white markings on the door.

Anyone here good at matching the door alarm to the unit?

About 30 if four per week is correct.
Does that include the 10 that has gone?
