No trouble at all.

I suppose it is, although most people expect me to have a bit more of a chalk accent down these parts.

In any case, seeing as we appear to have reached an impasse, it might be wiser for me to punt things into the long grass. North Greenwich it is.
That seems a reasonable move, and one permitted under the 1893 (revised in 2014) rulebook, which was the one with the green spine and blue covers. Following that, a quad-pentagonal reverse vertical swap should be played (as is tradition), so I'll go for Tower Hill.

Would we call that a green, though? I've always interpreted it as more of a teal colour. Could be a printing error with my copy, I suppose.

Your outstanding grasp of the geometric aspect of the game astounds me, though - clearly I've got my work cut out! A rather sheepish Barbican.

Ah yes - fair point. There was the famous Green Ink Disaster of 1845, though, which disrupted green ink supplies for a few decades, so that might be why there are differences in cover colour.

Thanks very much! :) As St. Paul is often seen as being fond of sheep, I'm going to say a move to St. Paul's to ensure a reversed rectangular (with a semi-protruding pentagon) move can be played within ten days' time.

Ah yes, of course...a tragic day.

A good move - which should always be followed by a circular jump to Hatton Cross.

Hmm...

Angel.

We feel like watching some football, so we take the train to Walthamstow Central and get the Victoria Line to Seven Sisters

You'll only find a miserable old Portuguese there. Come and watch miserable old me watch my lot lose at home again at Wimbledon.

I did a little research on the 1845 Green Ink Disaster (so-called). Parsons Green is a reminder of that most tragic series of events which resulted in the permanent discoloration of the Dean of Snaresbrook.

After extensive research while waiting for the kettle to boil, it seems that the Romans had a proto version of Mornington Crescent called Mane Oppidum Forum so without further ado I will take a chariot to Molendini Montem Orientis.

Unfortunately, you've been carted off to Wormwood Scrubs for breaking lockdown rules. East Acton it is.

I have been freed from Wormwood Scrubs on appeal as using Latin names for London locations is allowed. See Rudd v Petigrew 1937. So I will hasten to Arnos Grove.

Ah, enough of homes and whatever, we hop to St Pancras via the Piccadilly Line to get the Eurostar to Paris Gare Du Nord

Due to the Drumfrochar accord of 1998, it was outlawed that you could travel non-stop to France from the Piccadilly Line within 30 minutes after the Channel Tunnel is mentioned in a RAIB Mailing list. As such, we are forced to alight at Ebbsfleet International to travel back to Stratford International

Pentagonal-semi-reversing-swaps are always a good move to play, so I shall go for Paddington.

Would such a move be allowed under the 1834 (extended) rules? I'm not sure it would be, but I'd have to check with Boris to be sure. Just to be on the safe side, I'll play Royal Oak.

All this dashing off to overseas destinations is terribly bad form and of questionable legality so I shall keep to the spirit of the game by a move to West Acton.

But that is not permitted as you didn't get your act on, and so we go to London St Pancras International to catch the Eurostar to Amsterdam Centraal because we are tired of London and South and the UK and so we get out.

Because you didn't really say anything when you said Shortlands.
Under the 1553 rules, one can simply give a location name; an explanation isn't required and won't be until the 2030 (revised) rules are published in 2045.

2045? I'm glad they're preparing in advance for the opening of Crossrail.
