Is there a complete list of Loco's, D/EMUs in BR 80's livery?

Looking on heritage sites, some show their stock, others do not. I know there is probably no completely accurate list....

That is going to be tricky. Would you include the various 37/4s that DRS operate, or my personal favourite 37025, in your list?

As for preserved, there are locos in BR rail blue that are preserved only in the loosest sense!
Gratuitous use of photo, for no reason... Nameplates should be red, though!

Yes, I know. Sorry....

...actually, I'm not. Not at all.
No need to be sorry in my book. ;)

Aside from a Large Logo split-box 37, an all-over 'Monstral Blue' 56, Romanian or otherwise, will do me nicely (linked Flickr image copyright of Kevin Delaney). A Railfreight Large-Logo Grey example is also acceptable. ;)

It's for a pet project. I wanted to photograph current preserved stock. However I do like the DRS, DB Cargo, Freightliner and GBRf rolling stock. I'd love to snap all the 325's and some nuclear waste double engined.

Would suggest pick a railway and do some research. My local is GWR and know that they have the following in blue - 20228, 24081, 26043, 37215, 45149 and 47105 (well expect it will be when overhaul finished). IMG_20181007_141657.jpg
Picture of aforementioned 45 late in 2018.

Is their 73 in a version of BR blue as well?

Oh yes, forgot that one. Has half yellow ends.
The 73 on the GWSR is E6036 (my photo from 2019):

(the bloke in orange hi-vis isn't part of the livery ;))

https://www.gwsr.com/enthusiasts/miscellaneous/DMURailcar_1.html also shows one of the Class 117 DMBS cars, W51360, is in BR Blue. http://www.gwsr-dmu.co.uk/the-fleet/class-117-w51360/ has more information as well.

https://www.svr.co.uk/MeetTheLoco.aspx?id=90 has a list of the SVR's diesel engines, and according to the photos on there, they have the following in BR Blue - these may have changed:
  • 09107
  • 33108
  • D7029
  • 50033
  • 50035
  • 50044
  • D1013
  • D1015 (which is thought to be in 'Chromatic Blue' but we've already discussed this)
  • D1062
Didcot Railway Centre has 08604, which is in BR Blue.

I hope this is of some use!

-Peter

EDIT: Would 43002 at the NRM count too?

The loco is as per the condition it was repainted into during the mid 90s and the nameplate were black at that time.
Yes, I know. It still looks wrong. Nameplates on BR blue should be red.

I for some reason have always loved the look of a 52 in BR Blue, works much better than any red or green they wore earlier in their lives.

I agree (although they do look good in maroon with small yellow ends).
Here’s a slightly ropey photo of D1062 at Bridgnorth a few years ago...

Agreed. Blue was better than green, which is way better than the awful maroon colour. Then there’s desert sand...
