Only one that comes to mind is Cross Country trains occasionally skipping Tamworth and/or Burton in Staffordshire, although I'm sure a few more will come to mind when they're mentioned!

Avanti must have quite a few that fly through counties especially the ones from Euston that are first stop Crewe or Warrington.

LNER's 05:40 Edinburgh - London does this well - passes through Northumberland, County Durham, North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire all non stop.

Fast ECML services must rack up a few when it’s first stop York out of the capital!

Avanti defintiely do as well, especially on their Warrington - Euston and Crewe - Euston express runs! Also when running through Scotland they certainly pass through a couple of the lowland counties.

I would imagine that GWR fast services out of Paddington towards the southwest also rack up a few.

You missed out Bedfordshire (Arlesey, Biggleswade and Sandy stations) and Nottinghamshire (Newark Northgate) from your list ;) In fact, regarding Bedfordshire, every LNER service passes straight through this county. The same arguably applies on the WCML as well with Avanti, with all services passing through Leighton Buzzard.

Eurostar do not stop anywhere in Essex - or indeed Kent at the moment.

Southeastern do not stop in Essex.

Newport-Bristol trains not calling at Severn Tunnel Junction.

Unless you regard Newport and STJ as both being in the original county of Monmouthshire or the preserved county of Gwent.

Rutland, too, for the ECML, albeit only briefly and with no stations to call at (but it still fits the criteria?).

All Southern/Thameslink services that run non-stop between East Croydon and Gatwick pass through Surrey without stopping (accepting that Croydon was part of Surrey once upon a time). GatEx also does likewise.

Anything that passes through Kings Sutton but doesn't stop there is passing through Northamptonshire, although it never gets more than about 500m from the boundary.

'Proper' XC services pass through Worcestershire without stopping, so did 'XC-Lite' until recently.

In the old days the '91' Waterloo-Weymouth fast services passed through Surrey without stopping. They may still do.

I would imagine that GWR fast services out of Paddington towards the southwest also rack up a few.

Not as many as you'd think - most Paddington - Penzance services only pass through Wiltshire without stopping now that Taunton has a consistent hourly service. The Berks & Hants line has never actually passed through Hampshire.

Paddington - Bristol fasts will have Wiltshire and Berkshire if they ever get reinstated, although Bristol Parkway is in (South) Gloucestershire.

I think Euston - Glasgow services with first stop Warrington would pass through Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire without stopping.

I think this is more entertaining (and limiting) if you think about ROUTES (as in the topic title) rather than specific trains because there are plenty of trains that run non-stop through stations on a route that are nevertheless served by other trains. Clearly XC does call at Burton on both its northwest-southeast and Midlands-Wales routes, even if not all trains do so. Likewise the Avanti route to Glasgow does have calls in Staffs, even if not all trains do so.

Caledonian and the Night Riviera are good ones though, as they do not have stops in many counties they pass through. So if considering routes, EMR not calling in Hertfordshire is also a good example. TPE passing through Derbyshire between Sheffield/Dore and Stockport without calling Is another example.

Some would add Cheshire to that list...
If we are being pedantic about modern unitary authorities, they pass through Halton non-stop too (Preston Brook/Daresbury).
Carlisle-Glasgow/Edinburgh non-stops pass through Dumfries & Galloway (Annandale & Eskdale), Strathclyde (Lanark, Motherwell) and Lothian (West Lothian).
North Wales trains omitting Shotton and Flint pass through Flintshire non-stop.

TPE South Pennine passes through Derbyshire without stopping (Grindleford, Hathersage, Bamford, Hope, Edale, Chinley, New Mills New Town) and Cheshire (Disley).

Carlisle to Haymarket (Edinburgh) would pass through Cumbria, Dumfries & Galloway, South Lanarkshire, West Lothian and Edinburgh City IIRC

Liverpool to Norwich and vice versa pass through Leicestershire around Bottesford. There is a single Norwich to Liverpool which calls in Bottesford, plus the two AM trains Nottingham to Norwich via Loughborough. However in general, they don't serve Leicestershire but pass through.

See also the same service and Suffolk, Brandon village is in Suffolk but the station is in Norfolk.

As well as the aforementioned ECML, plenty of MML trains power through Bedfordshire without a call. Bedfordshire is of course not helped by being the smallest county in the land.

Rutland? Though of course these pesky unitary authorities don’t help definitions :D

The line between Haslemere and Havant passes through West Sussex four times but the trains do not call at any stations within this county.

This line is actually very complicating as it passes back and fourth between three different counties multiple times on this journey.

So between Haslemere and Havant the line goes as follows:

[Haslemere] - Surrey - West Sussex - Hampshire - West Sussex - Hampshire - [Liphook] - Hampshire - West Sussex - Hampshire - [Liss] - [Petersfield] - Hampshire - West Sussex - Hampshire - [Rowlands Castle] - [Havant]

This is the only example i can think of off the top of my head.

Any train from Manchester to Liverpool via Newton le Willows briefly passes through Cheshire (at Glazebury) without stopping.

Any non-stop Glasgow-Stirling train (almost all the Inverness, Aberdeen or Dundee services) pass through East Dumbartonshire, North Lanarkshire and Falkirk local authorities without a stop. the 1639 to Aberdeen from Queen Street doesn't even stop in Stirlingshire
