I have done that and literally looked through so many posts, lots asking about the mmi but cannot find any example questions. Starting to worry if i cant find them as i need to totally re-think my answers! Only one i can remember is a time you have been in a emergency situation and i think a situation similar to role of train driver :'(
I can find them when I look..

You can change your answers if you like. They don't have to be the responses you gave on the form you filled in

I’m in the exactly same position. Nothing since 11th of March ☺ I applied in August too X
Sounds like it’s all still ongoing then, at least there’s a few of us still waiting, I reckon the fact that we’ve been waiting for over a year is probably a good sign, A friend of mine was rejected quite swiftly after his application.

So DMI done yesterday
Nearly 90 minutes8-)
Very relaxed to be fair and now the wait begins.
Should hear within a week or so.
Hi mate. Got my DMI next week. Trying to read up on questions but can’t seem to find anything recent from TfW. My DMI is over Microsoft Teams with two driver managers, was yours similar?

The staff member will give you the questionnaire that you complete at the end of Stage 1, so that you can refresh your memory when you get to the MMI. Any other questions will be based on the SJE that you do at the start of Stage 2, or at least that was the format for me and my mate who did it recently. Hope that helps.

I passed my stage 1 for OPC over 2 months ago now and haven't heard anything about stage 2 down in Cardiff. Is this how long other people had to wait? It's very concerning I've tried contacting HR bur heard nothing back

Thanks. I know i will get the questionnaire but i want to think of better examples so wanted to know the questions so i can prepare different answers otherwise i am going to be left thinking of them on the spot which will likely mean a fail :|:'(

Thank you so much!
They will ask you the same questions and remind you what you have put on the form
You will be able to change answers
Go into detail and be prepared for them to ask you questions about your example and how / why you did certain things and how that made you feel etc

it’s not just a case of giving your example in STAR format

Hope that makes sense

Just had the email - I'm in the talent pool! So chuffed.

Has anybody else been accepted into the talent pool for North stations? Any news on course dates?

Oh they went one back in mid Aug asking if applicants were still interested in remaining in the process - due to the delays etc.....I replied yes considering I was in the pool! Had another one today because my name was down twice!

Hi all, after the email regarding the process I have managed to get a DMI sorted with Laura. Any tips would be helpful.
Nice 1

Yeah I get you
Good plan for the day before
I did the same
I hope you hear soon from Laura
Good luck with it when it comes round
The tests are ok
You will do a Situational Judgement Exercise at the start 20 ish questions- this isn’t scored but generates additional questions they may ask on MMI
Then into the test on the computer you get practice before each test and roll through then back to back
Once finished it’s a 45 min break then results and onto MMI if you’ve passed computer tests
Rachel from HR ran the day and did the MMI and was really helpful and relaxed to be fair
She also did our Stage 1
Me and a mate left just after 4 on the day

I didn’t have a clue how I’d done
Pressed once when I shouldn’t have done on the black square test and had to reset my self!
Photo test with the cars road signs etc - didn’t have a clue. There are 20 or so slides for that one
The two handed coordination seemed ok - speed and accuracy on this one
Use the practice time to get a feel for the joysticks and check the console- a few weeks back @Tanx30 said one of hers came off during the test!!
One of the joysticks came off mine when I sat the psychometrics for my employer! Still passed though, I just remained calm, screwed the joystick back on and continued!

Good effort
I made sure I checked the things before and during the test

Are there any seasoned train drivers out there who could point me in the right direction of some reading that would help me with the learning material provided once you start your training? I've got some spare time on my hands at present and been in the talent pool for over a year so thought I'd be a bit proactive in the hope I get a place soon on a training course

The best is no reading at all. Everything you need will be given to you on the course - and the training is designed around the needs of someone who barely even knows what a train is! Anything you learn now before you do the course is more likely to be a hindrance than a help.

The training department want a blank canvas, reading up on things will just get you all confused. I would recommend being patient and enjoy not having your brain fried.
