WCRC loses judicial review in High Court

Did it fail mechanically or just slip to a stand?

WCRC loses judicial review in High Court

This is going to increasingly break out into the public domain and both locals and tourists will learn the truth and turn against WCRC, who will become well known for the wrong reasons. They have messed up Easter already.

    Cornwall Metro funding approved

It has only been around for about a year or so, and TV reporters/correspondents say uptick all the time now. Sheep mentality, copying others so as to be seen to be trendy. Increase was fine before, it is fine now. The ugly 60's or 70's shop block currently hiding Newquay station needs to be...

    Cornwall Metro funding approved

I think you meant 'a substantial increase in usage of Par-Newquay and the intermediate stations'. Not sure what an uptick is but, probably found on deer or hedgehogs.

WCRC loses judicial review in High Court

This isn't really about WCRC as a whole but about one person within. He has form going back to the days of old camera film. Magazines published a photo of him waving a Hi-viz vest from his 8F, so as to spoil linesiders photographs. That particular trick is now redundant in the digital age, as...

Comedic "things you would ban": minor things that irritate you

The wallet dropping post above is a good example. He didn't want anything to do with anyone and any attempt to communicate was met with fear. Whole generations are heading down this road to wilful isolation. Again, the increase in mental problems is partly down to this isolation.

Comedic "things you would ban": minor things that irritate you

True, the online bubble causes them to avoid conversation or any human interaction. Strange world they are heading into. People wonder why mental health issues are increasing, the two are not unconnected.

    Waterloo station masterplan

Yes, adding ramps or lifts to the footbridge would have sorted it for everyone, difficult though that may have been engineering wise. Instead, in the false name of 'equality', everyone now has to take the same risks at street level. Equality of danger, not equality of safety.

Varamis Rail Given Operators Licence from ORR

Good for him, that gives him more control over the operations. Nice to see a forward looking entrepreneur showing how the railway should operate and help push the green agenda. Lorries need to be the final link in the journey, not the whole journey. Eliminating locos must offer big savings as well.

Swanage Railway - trains to Wareham 2024

Well, taking the more positive line, Cambridge and Tavistock might be happening, time will tell.

Swanage Railway - trains to Wareham 2024

The Waverley route was lifted throughout and Galashiels station wiped out but, that was re-opened, although Scotland does have a more positive 'can do' attitude than England does in general.

Swanage Railway - trains to Wareham 2024

Just as I said would happen. If the Swanage branch had remained as a freight only line to Furzebrook, it would have been in the Restoring Our Railways programme by now. Okehampton, Fawley, Portishead and E-W were all partly or completely freight lines and they are at various stages of revival...

    Swanage Railway to go cashless

Putting your life in a phone is just irresponsible and short-sighted. Lose a key and that is all you have lost, although a spare key can be carried to combat that. I always take my second car key with me, (not kept in the car!) Not much use at home if I lose the first one when out. Putting all...

    Swanage Railway to go cashless

I'm not advocating cash only for anyone, that is also no consumer choice. Just have cash as back up, you know it makes sense. I meant personally irresponsible to individuals with blind faith in new tech. Nothing is or ever will be 100% reliable.....

    Swanage Railway to go cashless

As the old saying goes, 'Don't put all your eggs in one basket' So why are people so casual and irresponsible?
