    I’ve given up using LNER now because it’s just too uncomfortable, and fly instead. Seat isn’t great on the plane either, but it’s only an hour and a bit vs 6/7 hours on the train!

    Which type of train still in service today will you miss most when they've all been withdrawn from use on the national network?

    I also found the 444 seats quite comfortable and the 350s with them. Don’t get me started on IET seats though - back can be hurting before the thing has even moved!

    But it’s only potentially not right if it’s actually InterCity livery?! As pointed out above, what would be the dark grey around the windows actually looks to be very dark red - so although clearly based on IC, it doesn’t appear it is IC, so the colours are possibly right as it’s a new livery...

    Blimey, what went before must have been pretty horrid if this is the best!! Nothing on it works for me, doesn’t really suit any vehicles it’s been painted on and I don’t think there are two vehicles that have the same application! I mean on single decks they’re painting black bits in white...
