    TFW legal action threat

Your first post on this forum on the 20th January was in reply to Kaius26 about going for an interview: You asked "Did you manage to get it all sorted?" Is there something you are not telling us?

    Scotrail, Abellio and April

So you expect there to be more accidents now ScotRail is being run by the Scottish Government?

Trainline Does New Deal with RDG for its Ticket Sales Commission

Perhaps they should base it on the Avanti one, then hardly anyone will be able to buy the ticket they want and £Billions can be saved by not running trains.

    Swanage to Wareham postponed again

Well clearly whatever SR give as their excuse for this year, the real reason must be that they weren't expecting the DMUs to be ready this quickly. They will need to think of an improved excuse for 2023.

Adding a footway to a railway bridge

The Golden Jubilee Bridges each side of the Hungerford Railway Bridge were extremely complex. I doubt that adding footbridges to most other railway bridges across the Thames would be as difficult as that project was. There is plenty written about them and the difficulties caused by tube lines...

One ticket selling site for all operators after GBR?

If you only have a single website selling tickets then it would need to be 100% correct which is extremely unlikely to be achieved. With multiple websites you can always use an alternative when you cannot get the correct result from a particular seller. Can you imagine the chaos if the Avanti...

Avanti planner madness Stockport to Guildford Sat 22nd Return Sun23rd

The Avanti planner is hopeless. I want to travel from Basingstoke to Tweedbank avoiding London (so changing from Cross Country in the West Midlands). There is no option to put avoid London (All stations) and it says Ooops something went wrong.

Which countries/territories have abandoned railways altogether?

I might have agreed with you about Albania until the recent announcement about about the Black Sea and Adriatic Sea link in the IRJ https://www.railjournal.com/freight/agreement-to-complete-adriatic-sea-black-sea-connection/ Of course agreeing to do something and actually doing it are two...

    Portugal to Spain by train

Have RENFE input the times following the December timetable changes? I don't know, but they don't have a very good record in the past.

    Island Line Upgrade updates

So after 10 months of no service and many millions of pounds we are back where we started: Only one train an hour running Trains being cancelled Trains regularly running late

    Abandond stations

There are Wikipedia entries for both these stations (though the second is Winton, not Wigton), and both these entries include both coordinates and OS Map references, and details of what remains of them, so they should be easy for you to find.

Why do Wikipedia articles refer to UK rolling stock as "British Rail"?

The same is also true if you find a British Rail sandwich, but then they were never edible even when new.

Checking tickets when passengers change trains

You mean they have only just realised people are travelling for free? This has been going on for donkeys years.

    Caledonian Sleeper

The only time I got into Stewarts Lane was when a train out of Victoria used it as a diversionary route, late one evening.

SWR Longest Strike - December 2019

Travelling today on SWR it is clear that the month long strike has had an effect. Whereas passengers were previously mostly in favour of trains always having guards on them, the consensus is now much more "We would prefer trains with guards on, but if the guards don't want to work, then we would...
