Only a few units were done fully in the end, most 377/5s still have the original seat covers. Both 377163/164 were refreshed inside & repainted externally in 2019 as per all the other Southern 377s (albeit still in SN livery). On both GTR & SE it won’t be a return to any sort of pre-COVID timetable in May. Simply not the demand for that many commuter services in the weekday peaks. Especially as the work from home advice will be one of the last things to change and even then it’s far from certain how many people will...

From January to the 21st February the service was reduced on GTR in a way that reduced diagram numbers until a more long term solution could be sorted. The plan was always that the Horsham - Peterborough’s would go back to half hourly from 22 February regardless of any local rail user...

Both operators have removed some duplicated service groups at weekends. Although given this is normally a busier time of year for Engineering Works, it’s often not that noticeable anyway.

It’s the case that both GTR & SE are currently planning on keeping their weekday service the same now until May. The timetables introduced on 22 February catered for schools returning already. Weekends are far less reduced on both operators anyway.

New, so Maidstone East would have 4tph to London off peak rather than the current 2. Yep the Maidstone West to St Pancras services still run. Albeit only 2tpd in each direction rather than the previous 3.

The 465/9 would've been used as cover or because that's all that was available. Purely chance it was on the diagram that connected better. The issue at Swale only became an official thing in December 2019. Prior to that 465s were used on there occasionally calling at Swale without a problem.
