    Brexit matters

Probably in years 2004-2010 , but not now. Since brexit vote, £ is worth much less in the EU , and what is worth does not allow for living in a affluent luxury ( it never had ).

    Brexit matters

Because brexiters are opposing FoM … (some of them ). Funnily , majority of seniors voted for not being able to go to sunny places to retire … Of course they claim , they knew what they were voting for and I am sure they are happy with their choices. 1713785382 FoM did not end at all . it...

    Will we see motorail return?

If you are driving to southern France or beyond , what difference does it make , how far away from London Folkestone is ? I did not day it would be Euro Shuttle stock used beyond Calais, I suggested before dedicated rolling stock that fits European gauge . There are many examples of lorry /...

    Will we see motorail return?

Channel Tunnel ? 1712353410 So time wise , very similar to driving , with advantage of being in bed while getting there , rather than trying to stay awake behind the wheel . Also - why London ? Is it not the most natural place for a motor rail train , going to The Continent , to start at...

    Will we see motorail return?

Wasn’t there a motorail train from Turkey to somewhere in Austria running summer only ? Optima Express name rings the bell . It was ( or is) private enterprise - have they made any money?

    Will we see motorail return?

That’s why I mentioned different rolling stock as an option but still be operated by Channel Tunnel ( or Euro Tunnel , whichever company name is correct this days ). If you add cost of Channel crossing ( whichever way ) , fuel and tolls - trip to south of France by car will be somewhere in the...

    Will we see motorail return?

Would extending Channels Tunnel shuttles to somewhere like South of France be worth while ( like one train per day )? It would have to have some passenger coaches ( or completely different coaches altogether ) but such operation offering would give Channel crossing and hassle free travel to...

Wrong. TOC’s can negotiate whatever they want with the unions ( and many would have already done so ) but government does not want to sign off / pay for any agreements
