I wouldn't mind been part of your Documentry. My intrest in the hobby isnt so much the 'standing on platforms taking numbers', but riding round for the day on trains & taking note of the train I am riding on and recording the miles I do.

I welcome you to spend a day on the trains with me on a journey that takes a circular route of York-Leeds-Carlisle-Newcastle-York, with a meal break in Carlisle.

Then another day, go to a preserved line for a day.
2 good lines not far from York, The North Yorks Moors Railway at Pickering & the Wensleydale Railway at Leeming Bar, near Northallerton.
