Could well be. At one time a bus used to come off the 13 to do Coaltown of Wemyss primary.

The last I heard Fife Council propose to retain service 13 in its current form with one pm journey cut to cover a school.

Moffat & Williamson was mentioned but who knows! I've heard the 13 is lost but B1 is returning to Stagecoach. I can't see them ditching the 43. It would halve the service in Milton of Balgonie and remove the main link between Kennoway and Windygates. I've heard Glenrothes are gaining Express...

The X4 & 46 will likely be lost to another operator so introducing the X26 kills two birds with one stone. It offers a half hour service between Glenrothes and Glasgow and provides a replacement/competition for the X4. Aberhill is losing 5 bus workings on Express. Dunfermline is gaining Glasgow...

All 5 of Aberhill's 59 plate E400 are on loan to Bluebird as they require seatbelted vehicles. 27915 is on loan to cover. Tridents are covering for the remainder. Perhaps some St.Andrews Enviros will also go. 27909/10 are at Aberhill so perhaps they will go to St.Andrews to cover?

27915 is sitting at Aberhill, not sure if in service but it may replace 27547. 18009 is there just now but someone suggested it might be off to Perth. Aberhill have 3 extra Tridents but not sure what they're replacing. (18082/86 & 18179)

Going back to a previous comment about complaints about Versas on 747. From a passenger point of view, seeing brand new coaches being advertised for X24 to Glasgow Airport, and then seeing Versas going to Edinburgh Airport which are often very busy with standees and luggage storage problems...

The primary reasons the Scania's were withdrawn were fuel consumption and air conditioning units not working. The heat was in issue in the summer months and the blackened windows they put in simply did little to alleviate the issue. I think this was the reason behind complaints other than...

I only know the Aberhill workings. One of the first X58s starting from the depot services back from Edinburgh to Kirkcaldy in time for morning schools. Likewise in the afternoon after Kirkcaldy schools, goes light to Edinburgh to do the extra X58 peak service. Sometimes a B13 crops up on the pm...

I'm not sure about 53814 but 53813 is replacing a B7 so no reduction in capacity. The bus working likely does Express all day apart from the school contract so an E300 would not be preferred. Aberhill does at least one school in the morning which is worked by a B11 before going to Edinburgh.

54331/332/333 are the 3 new B11RT Elites for the X24. I heard the Tridents from Stockport are destined for the Highlands.

The new timetable is working well. Despite the extra bus working, as far as I'm aware, no new shifts have been created so any increase to the wage bill is minimal. St.Clair Street is the point where the service started to lose time. This was more to do with traffic conditions other than...

How is increasing running time more expensive than operating an increased frequency? A half hour frequency saves at least 3 bus workings per day, fewer drivers required = reduction is wage bill. I would say adding extra running time is the most cost effective option. I agree that the service is...

This was 27547. Earlier in the month 17584 suffered a fire. Leaving the 7 alone wasn't an option. They wanted to save money but didn't factor in the effect this would have on passenger volumes vs running time. Which is why they have had to considerably increase timings to regain a reliable...
