I would expect the DfT to say no, i mean Chiltern are not really using the 68's & Mk3's at the moment and unless the traffic bounces back to pre-pandemic levels they can make do with the 165/168's... Nice chunk of cash to save by ditching the Mk3's and handing the 68's back, not to mention track...

Got off and on a train there on Tuesday, has to be the Crewe-Shrewsbury local which was a 175 compared to the Milford Haven which rattled through just after formed of a 150....

The Czech Railway app is good if you are in that part of the world, shows all the stops, current location, formation etc. Can also buy tickets.

They did a sting at Charlton last year, train pulls in, announcement that a full ticket check will be done, cue most of the train getting off and then caught on the platform by an army of Grippers. Train closed doors and headed off with no ticket check done onboard. Very clever I thought.
Compared to other European countries we do well, travelled from Bratislava to Berlin yesterday and everything is covered in graffiti: the trains, stations, trackside buildings etc.
At least we try to remove it
