Any updates to the re-paints of the ex-Manchester Gemini buses? We know one has been done (37458), but what about the other 14, any others been done yet? Also, I think that they’re re-painting 37189 right now as well, but I ain’t sure.

I think they might have been used to fix up 37748, as it was brought back to service yesterday (apparently). I forgot what happened to 37748 for it to be withdrawn originally?

They’re probably going to keep the same seat moquette they had in Manchester though, as that’s what’s been used on recent re-trims. 37214 & 37218 both use to have willow-leaf moquettes, but now have the one with the dots after their re-trims.

Not yet, they’ll be in service soon. 14 of them still need to get repainted first. 37458 has been painted though.

37266 and 32769 haven’t been out into service for like a year now. I do remember that 37145 was out back from October 2023, to January 2024 (as I did catch it on the 38/38B/38E, 57/57A, and X3 a couple of times). I’m pretty sure that 37145, 37266, and 37269 are now spare donors (I don’t know...

I’m near Caley depot right now, and I just saw 34394 pass me being towed after having a crash (pictured below). I also saw a possible Dumbarton Streetlite (dunno what number) and E300 (67723) enter Caley.

According to a First Glasgow driver who I’ve spoken to at GVVT (Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust) today, some of the E200s at Caley are moving to Overtown, with one or two more to join the E200s at Dumbarton. Also, currently one or two of the ex-Manchester Gemini’s have been repainted.

That’s interesting, hopefully it’s in service again soon.

Oh, I think that’s what it is then. Well, I thought that because the driver who took the photos is from that Region of First Group Services. And that the electric buses there have that same livery.

Then why are the repainting them into the Eastern Counties Electric livery? They could have just kept their original liveries, albeit with signs saying that they’re on-loan to Eastern Counties for a bit. (Like when Aberdeen has buses from Glasgow on-loan).
