Do scratches and scrapes on modern car bumpers need to be repaired to avoid rust?

I thought one of my relatives was the only person who used her car as a bin moving bulldozer

Speed limiters reading the HGV speed limit

Has anyone had a problem with the speed limiters in their cars picking up the lower HGV speed limit of 40mph in single carriageway, 50mph in dual carriageway roads.

Do you think that the UK switching to electric vehicles is realistic?

I believe the reason they were considering US standards was to encourage trade deals with the US after brexit and presumably because their standards are stricter than ours in terms of safety i have a feeling it was debated on this forum briefly a while back. However I could be wrong. I was...

Do you think that the UK switching to electric vehicles is realistic?

With regards to Ford stopping the fiesta in favor of SUVs and the fact all Nissan cars on the market are SUVs (except the leaf EV) what are the statistics regarding new car sales, are most SUVs do the majority of British drivers really have a “bigger is better” attitude like Americans. Strangely...

Can disabled drivers/passengers park in parent and child parking bays

Probably why a lot of parents want the parent and child spaces far away from the entrance so that they get the extra space and people won’t be tempted to misuse the spaces. Disabled spaces need to be near the entrance and have the extra space for obvious reasons however that also makes them more...

Can disabled drivers/passengers park in parent and child parking bays

Legally speaking that is probably true however most private car parks require a blue badge as part of their terms and conditions (although I think in Scotland the law extends to private car parks that the public have access to) 1688139153 My local Asda supermarket usually has most/all of the...

Can disabled drivers/passengers park in parent and child parking bays

Can blue badge holders park in parent and child bays if all the disabled spaces are full. I was wondering about this as some disabled people relay heavily on the extra space provided by disabled bays sometimes even having to turn and go home if they are no spaces available. Does anyone know...

[Trivia] Things that are illegal on the railway that you don't expect to be.

Red fire extinguishers on trains- I believe railway grade fire extinguishers are officially supposed to be yellow under railway regulations for some reason but they are nearly always the standard red ones you would see anywhere else (presumably because it’s cheaper)

Warning Ducks, and other strange roadsign?

Glenshiel battlefield is located near the A87 so it seems the most likely.

    Speeding Fine

Out of curiosity how do foreign drivers keep the the speed limit in the uk given most non UK/US speedometers are metric only and how do the revenue cameras deal with non UK reg plates.

    Cars and owner stereotypes

Not sure if that is necessary true they are plenty women over 6ft and plenty men 5ft nothing but there usually is still a difference in the seating position.

    Cars and owner stereotypes

Am I the only person who can usually tell the type of driver of a particular car by looking at the seating position. If the seat is extremely close to the steering wheel then chances are it’s a woman or old person who drives the car if it’s is so far back it’s almost against the back seat...

Would you travel in a driverless taxi.

With driverless taxis being considered in the UK and already a thing in the US I am wondering how many people would actually travel in one. Personally I wouldn’t trust such vehicles and would refuse to travel in it however I was wondering if I was the only person who had such views.
