Actually pretty well thanks. How are the strikes in search of a payrise going?

I made no comment on who was more worthy. It’s just so painfully obvious which way this is going, and has been since the start.
There is a natural water course under the railway line at Chalford, and Network Rail aren’t aren’t allowed to use a weedkilling train on this section as they do on others. Hence the overgrown nature.
I tried to get non safeguarded priv added to my Oyster card at Paddington Elizabeth line a couple of weeks ago and none of the staff there had the first clue what I was taking about so just paid normal fare in the end.
Fwiw I don’t use the speed limiter ever. Keeping a train at 125 is a skill. A limiter takes that skill away, and will mean the mind is far more likely to wander onto other less important things.
Just bite the bullet, do it properly and bring Sundays inside as part of a four day week. Three guaranteed rest days a week would do wonders for fatigue.
Just making them committed wouldn’t really change anything, plenty of crew have that already and there are still staff shortages.
Quite. Loads of money has been saved during the strike. The DfT will be perfectly happy for them to continue ad infinitum. People wfh, staff lose money, government saves money, and nothing changes.
Thanks. I don’t drink beer, I only drink water, I regularly get five a day, and I ran a marathon last month and have another in September. Sure I eat some stuff that’s not so good but apart from that I’m pretty good at looking after myself I think.
I do now I’ve just seen @dk1’s post. That’s not a role we have at my TOC.

I’m just finding my 30s far too stressful at the moment. Everything just seems to be going wrong.
I’m not entirely sure what that is. We don’t have them. But at 05.30 I was the last spare man on until 14.39, so I kind of had to stay in case of problems.
I stress and worry about everything. That’s just who I am. Thanks for the post though, I appreciate it. I’m still going to stress and worry until the mortgage is paid off. God I can’t wait to be 60ish.
This driver (not DOO but not sure why that bit is relevant) set an alarm for 04.10, drove to work to book on spare at 05.30 and waited in the mess room for eight hours to see if anything needed doing before returning home.
