  • Hi Pete, and good luck for your assessment this week. Ive been a conductor for Southern for around 2 years now.

I know you haven't got a lot of time so to avoid delay in reply/ reading etc you can give me a call on 07748 157040 and I'll answer any questions as best i can. thats the best way for you to get the info you need at such a late hour. look forward to your call.

    Dave
I failed on the role play unfortunately. I see yours has passed now, how did it go?
    Hello,
The day is straightforward. Bring all the paperwork & ID requested - no ID = no assessment - simples!
There are three tests IIRC and you should have an example book of them - useful to do the online examples. Think they were maths/mental arithmetic, reasoning and comprehension.
Maths fairly straightforward - accuracy is more important than speed.
Reasoning - work on logic and not assumptions.
Comprehension is checking differences between 2 pieces IIRC.
At the end of them they will take the answers and mark them and you all go outside and wait. When I did mine those who didn't pass were called first and told, then those who passed were all advised together.
Go dressed as for an I/v - makes a better impression.
The timetable allows for a large group.
The i/v will be about 10 - 14 days after if you were successful. What position did you apply for?
I was successful but was offered and accepted a different job to the one I applied for.

    Good Luck
    The Colonel
