What I did, as a visitor to Glasgow, was to ask the people in the ticket office if the new trains were expected 'soon' when entering the station. This helped me tremendously.
Same here
There was one journey where the guard was somewhat tardy in switching the lights on, this was travelling east and I was in the front car. So, for what was probably only seconds (but seemed longer) we were all in pitch back.
Because the lights had been switched off even the emergency...
Maybe the plan is to install similar barriers as at the eastern end of the subsurface trains platform at Mile End - these trains do not call at the front part of the platform but it cannot be closed off as the other platform face is used by Central line trains, which are longer than the S7...
Transport For Wales Class 230 D-Trains At Bidston
Two Class 230 trains call at Bidston Station which is also served by Wirral line Merseyrail Class 777 trains travelling between Liverpool and West Kirby (Class 777 trains are not included in this film).
Class 230 trains are former London...
This is the short video showing these trains at Bidston - I will also add it to the video section but as its directly related to this thread
I'm adding it here too.
A 10 minute wait to allow a train that the passengers might prefer to catch (for onward travel) is crazy.
LOL erm, yes but I'd rather film the trains than myself!
I had several cameras with me and have put eight photos / video still images on Twitter.
I've also added them to this message -...
I checked Real Time Trains - 230 008 arrived a whopping 7 minutes early. However as this its lat passenger journey of the day so its unlikely that any passengers were upset.
I was in Merseyside today to see these 230s, the 777s and 507001.
It was very difficult at Bidston. Not just with the rain on my camera lens but two 230 trains at the same time - I did not know which way to point my camera as the island platform was too wide for decent views of them both at...
Hello Peter,
No problems with delay in replying
I've now bought the Scale Model Scenery baseboard designed to fit in a box and realised its a tight fit to fit everything in the available width. (Length is 'no problem'.) Ideally I need a couple of inches extra width, but might just about get by...
After a long delay (working on the website instead) I've spent a day modelling ... built a second platform for my tube station.
What I've realised is just how far apart the platforms are at some subterranean stations with island style platforms and centrally located accesses - its not really...
progress is painfully slow, as I am also working on my website and creating new films
last week I affixed most of the self-coloured card over the painted underside of the shelter and used superglue gel to affix some of the floor to ceiling canopy support poles. Now I am waiting for online shops...
Indeed so, its exactly what I was wanting. But it needs time and effort to build.
I am currently working on a platform shelter for the part of platform that will be in open air and the escalators. Progress, much to my regret, is slow.

London Underground 1962ts Rail Adhesion Train (RAT) shunting at Hainault depot as seen out the window of a 1992ts train travelling from Grange Hill to Hainault stations
Also seen is a 1992 tube stock train
Hello,
No to the repainting, but mainly because I did not even try, not yesterday. Before I can do that I will need to go to Wilkinson to get some paint remover and go somewhere like Halfords to get a rattle can of paint. Based on the few colour photos I've seen I think it needs to be a very...
