    Merseyrail Class 777 introduction updates

I was one of the very unlucky people who went on the train that failed, and it was my first time on the 777s! I saw the problem from a distance and thought there was an accident that had nothing to do with the actual train, however, it did. I actually heard a person who was trying to fix the...

Merseyrail reduction in calls at Bromborough Rake and Green Lane

That's an interesting change... I only knew this today since someone mentioned the change to me. It's a risky decision, especially for passengers wanting to go from GL or BR to/from Chester, and even more of a risk for disabled passengers wanting to change at Hooton (someone even started a...

    Alstom Aventra Hydrogen

Unpopular opinion, but those will be good with South Western Railway's West of England line services. 2/3 doors would do good for the busy route, and I know they may be recently refurbished, but it's about time the 159/158's get replaced by something newer.

    Merseyrail extensions/service plans

Seeing as Merseyrail is getting mentioned here ALOT recently, I thought I'd come back, Hi! Personally, Kayla's vision is imperfect. It doesn't realise the Buscourgh Curve development, which is an essential thing to get back into service, and running WCML trains directly through John Lennon...

    Best UK 'High-speed train'

I like the HST's, but the Pendolino has to be my choice.

Great British Railways: Replaces Network Rail & more changes - updates only (non-speculative)

Great idea. Not so keen on the name though, could be better, but still.

    Whither XC after HS2?

2tph XC to Liverpool is needed. As said before, LNWR has a 2tph to Birmingham, but it’s not enough as it’s a stopper service. Having 2 fast XC services to both Bournemouth and Plymouth is sort of essential. It’s about time Liverpool get’s it’s XC mojo back. Yes, LNWR may lose services to...

    Whither XC after HS2?

It may be a long time until things settle down on the WCML, but Liverpool definitely deserves XC services again, and more direct services. XC's service pattern state has been argued for a long time, and I don't see any problem with a Post-HS2 Liverpool to Oxford/Bournemouth service. I must say...

Best and worst refurbished train since privatisation

There was actually a video by angel trains showing a rendering of the interior of a refurbished 390. They don't seem to be fitting them with ironing boards, thank god.

Best and worst refurbished train since privatisation

Best: TPE 185s and LNWR 350's. They both look relatively good, and the PIS is a plus side. Class 323's. They look modern when refurbished and they actually cared about the exterior this time. Class 332's also had an incredibly nice interior when they were refurbished in 2012. Worst: Northern...

    (Entirely) new railway lines

Sheffield: I explained earlier that there could be an underground station either in the city centre or at least somewhere slightly west of the city centre. I also mentioned that there could also be two rail exit's, one at Castlegate for trains going north, and the other one near Lowfield for...

    (Entirely) new railway lines

A friendly reminder that the Huddersfield line and Hope Valley line's have tunnel's which are long but don't take up all of the lines. 1616849394 There's no problem with it. I just think that the Snake pass route would be a better choice, seeing as it's a more direct route.
