yeah alcohol is best avoided within 48 hours of all these things. I found my medical interesting though recently, i had a similar thought, the assessment was in the afternoon, that lunch i had been at a business lunch, where its not uncommon to have a glass of wine with and on this occasion due to celebratory i seemed a little odd not having one... I didn't obviously because why make problems, but, why shouldn't i had... your allowed to drink when not doing a safety critical role, why should it matter if i had a slight amount of alcohol in my system at the medical, I'm not driving trains that day and its not illegal.
But anyway, obviously it would be foolhardy to have had a glass that day, hence why i didn't. Another interesting point, my blood pressure as what i would describe as sky high, high for me anyway, almost 150, and i thought oh dear, yet she said thats nice and low???? lol told me cut off is nearer 180. and to think i had spent the two weeks before running and stuffing my face with blueberries.
eyesight, had a check up before hand on my own to see if i needed glasses, my optician told me my eyes were perfect... eye test at the medical was a near disaster, borderline pass. dont know what happened there, perhaps my optician was a bit of a cowboy, i did notice, the letter screen in the opticians was much closer whereas the letter screen in the medical was more than double the distance away. Don't know what to make of that, one says i probably need glasses and the other says i have the eyes of a hawk.
everything else was fairly routine, urine test, i mistakenly thought she was going to watch me give the sample as she was in the loo with me so started getting ready which led to a somewhat funny misunderstanding. doesn't make sense to me that she doesn't watch tbh, i could have had a vial of a friends urine there if i was so inclined.
oh and i am borderline obese apparently if you were to look at me you would think i have to run around the shower to get wet I'm that skinny. so either i have body dysmorphism, or, a disproportionate amount of muscle or some chart reading error occurred.
