Has anybody made use of the LNER Assistant alert service?
I did have a ticket booked through LNER, the app and my phone number in their system but I never received the advertised platform info to my phone for my service from Kings X on Friday. It was made more annoying as RTT had got it wrong. I have emailed LNER about it but was wondering if others had used the service.

With regard to RTT it is just a prediction based on past performance, only once it goes bold is it generally quite (but not 100%) accurate.

My be worth checking your contact preferences , I get the platform alerts each tme I travel
I did that first of all.

edit 17/9 Another week, another service used but no info. I emailed LNER about it last week but haven't heard back yet.
Does anybody else really use it at all?

Edit: 21/9 Does RTT actually make the platform numbers bold anymore? The last couple of times I looked there was no difference in the numbers.

So far no response from LNER.

According to a reply I got from RTT Twitter their platform info doesn't currently work at King's X

Four journeys had been booked by me. I cancelled one as I didn't travel. Guess which one was the only time the LNER alrert gave platform info!

I know there has been a decrease in the number of messages sent out and the team is looking into why that is. Atually I reserved seats for a trip to London last Thursdayand didn't get any messages, only just twigged.

Hopefully they'll get it sorted soon. It's seems to have been a problem for several weeks now and, for all I know, might have been a problem before then also.

Same here - used to get them via the LNER app, they could sometimes be useful.

Don't get them at all now, in fact I'm not sure I've received any notifications other than marketing ones since pre-pandemic.

Last time I had updates from LNER was a couple weeks ago on both leaving/return to Dundee

I know roughly the platform I’m using but only got confused by the new platform markings on where my carriage would be.

I got an email response to my email query but all it did was apologise for the delay in responding.

Edit: and rereading the response it seems to give the impression that they won't be giving me any sort of answer.

Still not working.
And no further response from LNER so I assumed correctly that they were ignoring the question.

Always had these messages appear for platform indication and updates on the delay to the train I'm currently on - except when my train was cancelled altogether at KGX.

Thankfully the link posted by Blackfive460 has been very helpful.

Still not working for Kings X departures although I did receive a platform alert for my Wednesday morning Hull Trains departure from Hull (ticket bought via the LNER website)
