  • Hello there Paul, it would indeed - I had a semi-consistent phase of photo updates and the like, but perhaps as the Metrolink upgrades have gathered pace I've struggled to keep up. I don't post so much anymore (since there's always someone else first to grab a scoop!), but still observe the goings-on. I imagine my time here will be similarly spent, with the odd accidental sighting, impulsive photographic haul or tentatively-tabled opinion. And every now and then, I may actually dare to post about them!

Considering just how comprehensive this site is (and no doubt helped by your stewardship), I couldn't resist signing up. Despite having neither the lineage nor the career path befitting a forum regular, I like to follow the day-to-day railway picture. And may the following continue.

Thanks, (and sorry for the late reply!). I don't remember seeing many but then again until recently there wasn't a lot for us to add to the conversation as obviously this was a fairly bottom of the pile conversation before the Dawlish incident.
Thanks for the Heads Up message mate, That is very helpful, hopefully someone in that group will notice it

Hi Paul, I am happy to be one of your friends, however I am still learning this site and I'm not sure if I am doing it right ?
Hey Paul, how do I go about starting a new thread in a particular section of the forum? It really doesn't seem that straight forward. Ha ha. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi Paul. Many thanks for you welcome, much appreciated. Loved the 304's, takes me back to my younger days, along with the occasional 303 operating the route. Probably one of the first classes I went on in to Lime Street.
Thanks Paul. I hope this response is in the right place. 68 indeed. Well now, you're nowt but a lad. I'm blazing away into my seventies.;)
Paul, I've mentioned your name in the 'What station is this? ' thread in the infrastructure section. Hope you don't mind.

I'm really not at all sure I've done this right! If I have, then you'll know that I got your message and responded - any friend of the 'Lanky' is a friend of mine!
