As well as your general uniform you also get suit trousers and jacket/blazer so one or two company shirts is a good idea to go with them.

But you are correct, patience is very much needed when going through the application process

Mate we have been told we might not be back this year and there is 2 more courses already running behind us at the academy for Worcester.

You actually only end up paying an extra 10% in taxes on your earnings that come into the higher tax rate.

All your rules training is done at the academy in Birmingham regardless off what depot you will be at

They wouldn't accept A levels or degrees, has to be a GCSE certificate or equivalent, so a previous functional skill pass etc. We couldn’t understand why A levels or degrees weren’t accepted. This was over a year ago when they first brought the apprenticeship in so it could have changed.

I’m guessing as they hadn’t pressed the uncouple button it was still electronically coupled so had break release and power through the whole train when they tried to move

You work out of your own depot only and sign the routes and traction for your depot. The two different brands don’t cross over. There could well be exceptions to each of these I guess, but I’ve not heard of any.
