I was simply mentioning the bridge geographically located in Keadby which still opens..

Cancelled - "bridge being open for river traffic"

The Keadby bridge has a habit of not wanting to close again after it has opened. Can’t say whether this is what happened in this case, but it wouldn’t be particularly unusual.

    Specials Route Knowledge

Unsure about route knowledge, but drivers within a possession do not have to obey signals as they would on a line open to traffic. All movements are under the instruction of the PICOP (Person In Charge Of Possesion) or the ES (Engineering Supervisor) outside and inside of worksites, respectively.

How successful could multiple unit railtours be with the correct itinerary?

Filling up an occasional charity trackbashing tour utilising in-service units doesn’t necessarily mean that enough work could be found to keep a hypothetical similar preserved unit running on the main line. With this BLS tour there are no route clearance or route/traction knowledge issues, and...

Rail head treatment vehicle in passenger train consist?

AFAIK the converted vehicle(s) were only used on the northern leg of the Thameslink route, under the wires, so the sandite vehicle wouldn’t have been under power. As a matter of record, former class 416 (2-EPB) vehicles were used rather than MLVs. The sandite runs also seem to have not been in...

    Class 315 preservation society

It is possible that it could have been withdrawn because it had an exam due, in which case no inference could be made about the condition. Just saying.

Rail Aid Pullman in Kent 21-11-21 (Double header?)

How long is a piece of string? Depends on how much of the engine has to be taken apart to find/diagnose the fault, how easy it is to rectify, and whether the owners are happy for it to go straight out on a main line tour or if they want to have a chance to test run it first.

    Class 153 updates.

For the record, 376 does not have the same kit as 950001. 950001 is a track geometry recording unit, whilst the 153s will be used for switch and crossing inspections. So while the 950 just has a single forward-facing camera and some infra-red lamps on each end, 153376 has rather more than that.

Do HSTs still run at 125mph?

The NMT currently has brakes isolated on a couple of axles so runs at 10mph below line speed, so effectively limited to 115mph.
