    Mirfield to Stockport via Sheffield

Morning all, I'm travelling from Leeds to Stockport today, my normal tickets for this are West Yorks MCard Zone 1-3 + Mirfield to Stockport return. I'm wondering whether, with the current engineering works, there is an easement that allows travel via Sheffield on a Mirfield to Stockport ticket...

Delay Repay using West Yorks Annual MCard for part of journey - proof of purchase?

Thanks all, i have emailed TPE mentioning the Ineligibility for Delay Repay. It's not going to be a large amount this time, but I didn't want to be in this position if there's a delay that's longer/on a more expensive ticket.

Delay Repay using West Yorks Annual MCard for part of journey - proof of purchase?

Hello and thanks for the replies. Yes, I was on a train that didn't stop at Mirfield. I was under the impression, mainly from discussion on here, that PTE tickets were treated the same as rail seasons in this respect after the change to NRCOT. I can't find anything in the current MCard T&C...

Delay Repay using West Yorks Annual MCard for part of journey - proof of purchase?

Hello all, I've been trying to obtain delay repay for a journey from Stockport to Leeds, where I used (a) the return portion of a Mirfield-Stockport Off-Peak Return plus (b) my annual West Yorkshire MCard (zones 1-3, which covers the Mirfield-Leeds part). Transpennine Express (whose train...

Uneven frequencies or poorly co-ordinated headways which cry out to be evened out

Bradford Interchange to Leeds: roughly every 15 minutes in the opposite direction, but towards Leeds the 4 trains an hour are within 32-33 minutes leaving a near 30 minute gap

Indeed it is. All good so far.

    LNER substitute trains Sat 19/06/21

Many thanks for the quick replies. I will probably take my chances of it being class 91 + mark 4.

    LNER substitute trains Sat 19/06/21

Hello all, I am booked to travel on the 0715 Leeds to London King's Cross tomorrow 19/06/21. I've had an email saying a substitute train will be running in place of the scheduled Azuma and there will be no seat reservations. They say I can travel on that train without a new reservation or...

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Good news: the Rail Ombudsman have ruled in my favour and TPE have offered a small amount extra by way of apology. Thanks again for the advice and support.

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Oh well, I've done it now. Will have to see what they say.

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Well I had another two goes with TPE customer service, with no change. Their latest response mentions that I can take my case to the Rail Ombudsman and states that their latest email is a Deadlock Letter. It's not a large amount of money, but I still feel I have followed the guidelines and am...

DfT advise TOCs that full timetable is to be restored on 6 July

That would be good if it happens. As others have said, the Northern timetables are some way short of the return to full service in the article that started the thread. I looked at the service I use to commute to work (Leeds-Bradford) and it looks like a few extra trains just around peak times...

Thanks for taking the time to look it up - I'll try again.

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Thanks, I may well quote that when I contact TPE.

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Yes, I think at this stage mentioning whether or not the train ran is a complication. I've already had a series of 3 responses from TPE (i) not reading my email and just saying how to apply for a refund (ii) saying they could not refund the ticket for travel on 20 March (even though I'd amended...

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Thank you. I couldn't see a flaw in my logic, as I could no longer have used that ticket to travel on 20 March. I am wondering whether to try: (a) a further approach to TPE Customer Service on these grounds (b) if the train didn't run, mention that as well, or (c) go straight to the complaints...

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Thanks for the replies so far. It didn't work with RTT changing the date. If someone has access to look it up I'd be grateful. I booked on 17/02 to travel on 20/03. I amended the ticket to 08/05 on 20/03 several hours before the time of travel. On the amended ticket I was due to travel on 08/05...

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Thanks, I didn't think of seeing whether the train was actually running as I had no intention of travelling by the time we got to May. It wouldn't be running on tomorrow's timetable, but I don't know if it's possible to see timetables further back than the 7 days you can on Real Time Trains.

Transpennine not offering full refund during coronavirus lockdown

Hello all, I hope this is the right area of the forum to post my question. I had an Advance ticket for travel on 20 March. At that time non-essential travel was only advised against, and fees for changing Advance tickets were waived. I took advantage of this and changed my ticket to 8 May, which...
