    History of this plate.

Hi, I received this plate yesterday. The locomotive number is 47480. I was wondering if any of you could shed any light on it? It came into my possession after an operator's mum on my taxi firm passed away. When she saw this plate, she thought of me, as I like trains, it was in her mum's...

    1H42 and 1D45 on 06/03/2000.

On the 6th of March 2000, 37219 hauled the 1323 1H42 from Warrington Bank Quay to Manchester Piccadilly and the 1719 1D45 return to Warrington. My question is what were the carriages used on this train? My notebooks from this era are long since gone. I have found the carriages used on the...

    Steam locomotive on the M6.

Last night (Tuesday the 15th of October), I was on my way to Cammel Laird's at Birkenhead, when I passed a steam engine on the back of a low loader. Porterbrook leasing 799001

My question is this, which 319 is 799001, and what is its time scale to be in use? I know it is not the hydrogen flex unit as that is 319454 in a special advertising livery based on silver and purple, with no yellow front. This unit has a yellow front warning panel. Can anybody elaborate, please?

    Current liveries

Current liveries, why are the current franchise operators going with white? Is this because of the R.O.S.C.O.'s? This is an impossible colour to keep clean through my own experience of driving a white taxi. Virgin have gone white, with red with their flowing silk livery. Transport for Wales...

Blackpool Transport to go electric next decade

I heard this morning of a bus driver that Blackpool Transport are going electric circa 2021. Apparently the buses are coming from china, I don't know the make or model. The Rigby Rd tramsheds are apparently going to be knocked down to make charging points.

    Pieguyrob out and about....

Hi. This is the first time I have done anything like this, so apologies if it is not to the high standards of some of the other threads. I am splitting this into two groups. Sightings I have seen out and about in my taxi, mainly at Blackpool North. And, days out either on the train or in the...
