Interrail cabin reservation on GWR Night Riviera

Yeah, twice they’ve told me to buy from a ticket office, but no ticket office will sell it! So frustrating. Maybe I just need to get lucky with the right person on the phone

Interrail cabin reservation on GWR Night Riviera

No, trying to book a cabin from Paddington to Par. That’s all we need. Ticket office won’t sell it, phone line tell us they can’t do it and it needs to be done at a ticket office. Going round in circles.

Interrail cabin reservation on GWR Night Riviera

Hi all, Looking for some advice/guidance please. My girlfriend is trying book a cabin on the Night Riviera from Paddington to Newquay for 30/06/2024. They have gone on sale this week. She has an interrail pass so only needs to book a sleeper supplement - currently £90.50. This can't be booked...

RMT turns down Network Rail Pay Offer

There were no strings attached to the offer. It was unconditional. RMT sources don't do themselves any favours at times.

RMT turns down Network Rail Pay Offer

Not sure what MP pay has to do with anything. Hopefully this doesn’t rumble on, I can’t see where the money will come from for much more than 3.5%. I think 5% would be a maximum.

    Caledonian Sleeper

Just booked my first trip on caledonian sleeper. Fort William to Crewe in a week. Very expensive, but thought why not as a treat. Will be comparing with interest to the VR sleepers I have used extensively in Finland.

Best value Sleeper fares from Fort William to Crewe 22/04/2024 and minor Rover query

Hi all, Looking at buying a sleeper cabin for me and my girlfriend on the above journey. Current price is £330 for travel and the cheapest cabin. She will have a valid interrail pass, and I have Rail Staff Online Leisure Card (although I believe for some bizarre reason this is not accepted on...

    A career as a signaller

Wouldn't expect much recruitment in Birmingham area signallers for a while now as they won't be backfilling trainee roles this year.

Avanti First Class north of Wolverhampton

food regulations mean they can’t sell food/drink if there’s nowhere for the staff to wash their hands (or that’s what they have told me before anyway)

    Avanti Premium

Morning and evening services to Birmingham tend to be absolutely full of Avanti office staff in Standard Premium. They get very arsey when you politely ask them to move out the reserved SP seat you’ve paid for! Not a good experience.

    British Airways

First experience with BA flying to Hamburg for a weekend. Found Heathrow a pretty miserable experience. Seats quite poor and legroom dire on BA - I am 6 foot 4 and am more comfortable on Ryanair or EasyJet. 10g bag of “Graze” corn is just embarrassing. I’d rather have nothing. And on the return...

Rail Staff Travel website not working?

I visited Birmingham New Street ticket office and said the Rail Staff Travel website wasn’t working, showed my NR staff travel card and the helpful lady let me buy all the tickets I needed at the PRIV rate. I bought my next 3 journeys over the next few days just in case this issue drags on...

Not for Network Rail staff like myself!

Rail Staff Travel website not working?

Damn - what provision is there for staff to travel when they can't buy a Priv ticket?

Rail Staff Travel website not working?

Is anybody having issues with the RST website? Trying to buy a ticket urgently for travel and getting an invalid origin error, which I have never seen before. Origin is Birmingham New Street.

Birmingham New Street to Harlington (Beds)

Thanks - sorry I'm not much of an expert when it comes to the routing guides. Are you saying that both of those routes would be valid on the above ticket?

Birmingham New Street to Harlington (Beds)

Hi all, Could somebody please advise if the below linked ticket (off-peak single, not via London) is valid both via Leicester and Bletchley? I haven't decided on the route to take yet, but would like flexibility to go via both ways if possible. Thanks...
