Yes it did, I wonder if the H1 MMCs were diverted from Kinch as it was rumoured some of the 29 were going to them, and Kinch are now getting ZEBs thanks to the ZEBRA2 funding
I must say I was very impressed with the Yutong's on the Leicester Park & Ride service, felt very well built. Slightly less new model now but the integral BYD K9s on Nottingham's Medilink felt well built too, much better than the electric Optare's that worked the route before them.
Sorry, I should have added that the promise goes for 'non-contracted' routes, so services like Bee Network, East Midlands Airport, the Hinckley Point buses are still eligible for diesel buses
Westminster just announced ZEBRA funding which is why some English operators are ordering buses. Holyrood I believe isn't providing funding to any bus operators in Scotland for ZEBs at the moment, just to some coach operators
Electric buses are uneconomical to purchase without government funding at the moment, and because First have promised not to buy diesel buses anymore it means that cascades of older diesel buses will be required unless funding becomes available or the price of ZEBs becomes economical enough to...
Because the E300s were discontinued in 2015 and the routes needed brand new buses.
Are the B8s not owned by the Welsh Government as two of them went to Newport Transport a few years back and have now returned?
The Ecclesfield StreetLites were ordered by the South Yorkshire PTE and not Stagecoach. They also wanted hybrid buses and ADL didn't make a single-deck hybrid at that point
