Of course everyone has a choice, both in life and in work, and I'm sure there are enough sensible people within the industry who will trust both the union and the TOC to introduce appropriate and proportionate measures to get us moving again safely. As you say simple stuff.

Unfortunately nothing in life or work is 100% safe so I hope we are not waiting for that scenario; I would hope the aim is to reduce the risk to as low as reasonably practicable which would allow us to resume training safely.

I think 1sec is about right but hard to say. Any practice you can do can only be good thing so start high & reduce it gradually as you improve

Yes doesn't make much sense, I'm in the same position and I've seen a couple of guys post that they've been in the pool for 5 months - from before the current recruitment drive which seems bizarre. What can you do though? I suppose there must be some method in the madness so I'll just continue...

Same here, reserve pool for six months - bit disappointing but it's reassuring to see there are so many people on the forum who've been in the pool and progressed eventually - hopefully we'll be the same and get the call forward in due course

I was in on the 27th June, got the email shortly after saying they'd be in touch after all interviews were done at the end of July to give the result of my interview, haven't heard anything since. Hopefully next week..
