CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

It's showing internally as being paired with 153913 for the entire journey, unsure which one is right!

    Conwy Valley Line

150227 worked the branch all day on 22nd Feb. I was on a 150 from Holyhead to Chester (on a Birmingham service) earlier this week, they do still get up here occasionally.

Merseyrail legacy fleet updates (Class 507/508)

It was reported previously it had a motor fault of some sort. Presume its got a motor isolated or something. Could well have been fixed but I've no idea on that im afraid.

Ah I only read the quoted text, I'll look at the PDF in detail later! Cheers

    TFW 2024 Timetable consultation.

The deferral of Liverpool to North/South Wales isn't exactly the end of the world nor is it a surprise. Realistically on the Chester to Shrewsbury section you need additional signalling blocks between Wrexham and Gobowen. Connections generally arnt too bad to/from the Coast with the service...

CAF Civity for TfW: News and updates on introduction.

The 0820 ish from Chester to Cardiff is usually a 5 car, 2 from Holyhead attaching to 3 at Chester. I've been on a 6 car set from Holyhead to Chester before, funnily enough on Sunday evening with a handful of passengers on it.

Merseyrail legacy fleet updates (Class 507/508)

From an internal memo sent by a friend who works there (Wirral Line): " Due to Aintree week starting Monday 8th April, there is a full 777 service on all circuits. All job numbers remain the same however some content and turn lengths will be marked as ADDL on the daily sheet. Please check with...

Merseyrail mandates that Trainline tickets must be printed out

Sorry I was thinking more along the lines of the kid from Northern Land being issued a say St Helens to Lime Street mobile/E ticket rather than a TOD, whereas their mate seeing how convenient it was thought they'd try online themselves, however doesn't get issued a nice mobile ticket like their...

015 was on the Chester line on one of the XX15/XX45 diagrams ex Chester.

Merseyrail mandates that Trainline tickets must be printed out

Depends where they're boarding. If they're boarding at a remote request stop with no facilities, no. If a staffed station or one with TVM, yes. But there have been multiple instances mentioned (some reported earlier in this thread) where people have been let through on a "just this once" basis...

Merseyrail mandates that Trainline tickets must be printed out

The thing is Merseyrail make up a lot of rules as they go along and will quite happily issue PFs or their Fixed Penalty /on the spot out of court settlement type things regardless of bylaws or regulations. I seem to remember a case fairly recently on this forum where they dragged somebody to...

Merseyrail legacy fleet updates (Class 507/508)

I heard some rumours that 003 was going to stick around for a bit when the rest are gone for some non passenger work around the network (thermal camera). Neither 001 or 003 are particularly great units.

Along with 029 and a 777. Appears all other Wirral lines were full 777 operation.

Merseyrail legacy fleet updates (Class 507/508)

Presumably lack of available parts. At this late phase in life its more a case of is it worth spending time/money on or better just scrapping them, seeing as they've got less than 2 months to go.

    Merseyrail Class 777 introduction updates

Unit finally moved to Rock Ferry bay platform, service resuming. Some 4hours after it failed!

    Merseyrail Class 777 introduction updates

Apparently there are issues coupling the rescue unit so who knows what's gonna happen. Update - original rescue unit on non compatible software version. Second unit driver not trained to couple. Passengers been evacuated, driver sourced but the rescue unit is refusing to couple and another...

    Merseyrail Class 777 introduction updates

Update, unit appears to have moved to Hamilton Square according to Traksy (originally due there at 0950). 5 other units appear to be stuck behind it around the loop. Rail replacement buses in operation between Birkenhead Central/North and Liverpool.
