School trip to London - fare advice

Hmmm. Small group of primary school children will be fine. What would we do in central London? I can’t park a coach in the centre, go round parliament and jump straight back. At least on the train, we can get into the centre of London and easily move around the city.

School trip to London - fare advice

Have you ever been on a coach with a group of children longer than 45mins? At least on a train I can get up and walk away for ten!

School trip to London - fare advice

Brilliant. Thank you all. The more children I can take, the better but when travel is so expensive and we have to claim back the expenses it makes it a little more challenging.

School trip to London - fare advice

I’m hoping to be able to use the £1000 claim back the government are offering for schools to go down to parliament. Would likely be LNER we’d travel with. What sort of fares and discounts are available for groups of children? Would be under 12y/o. Is there an optimum number to receive these...

    Cancelled train but still travelled

But not a full refund due to the cancelled service, which is what’s happening by the email I got.

    Cancelled train but still travelled

I was on the 0802 from York to Kings Cross. The train was cancelled at Doncaster due to the toilet piping being frozen. We were told to join the 0856 from Doncaster. Five minutes into the journey, LNER emailed to say I was due the total cost of my ticket as a refund for the train being...

    Advance Ticket Availability

Spoke to someone with LNER. The timetable they’ve been given is for ticket releases 7-4 days the week before.

    Advance Ticket Availability

I would assume the same is true for LNER? Got a hospital appointment in London on the 15th and at the moment I can only find any tickets for Grand Central services from York. Nothing at all for LNER.

    Seatfrog - booking reference

Ah fab., thank you. I was using my ticket number as my email didn’t give me any other reference that I could see. I have just tried to search the booking reference on Seatfrog and it still couldn’t find it! I’ve just manually added it.

    Seatfrog - booking reference

What is my booking reference according to my e-tickets? I’ve never been able to enter it and find that it’s valid on Seatfrog :/

    Seatfrog and LNER

Seatfrog don't tend to show tickets until quite close to the time. Part of their 'auction' style I guess.

LNER Family Return - missing a child

However, you and I both know that what some TOCs post on their website can be misconstrued by on train staff, those in stations etc.

Is there a way to see individual charges against an unregistered debit card for TfL?

I’ve put in a claim. Hopefully they’ll sort it. Thanks all!

Is there a way to see individual charges against an unregistered debit card for TfL?

Not sure why I’ve been charged a penalty fare. Plus, it’s the only charge I’ve got from TfL. 1616793360 Hmmm. Appears I missed the contactless points at London Bridge.

Is there a way to see individual charges against an unregistered debit card for TfL?

I’ve got £20 coming out tomorrow and I’m pretty sure I didn’t do £20 worth of travelling round London yesterday! Any ideas?

    Seatfrog - bidding closed early

I was only really interested if it was an upgrade of less than £20 given that LNER’s offering is somewhat reduced during the pandemic. I’ll just have to make sure I get food beforehand!
