How do we know this fight was started by a masked person and not someone who takes exception to people wearing masks? Plenty of those people about and wouldn't be the first time.

I don’t care for masks one way or the other but trying to equate mask compliance with murder or serious injury is not a very clever counter argument.

I don't care one way or the other about masks, the only real inconvenience for 99% of people is remembering to carry one...but it's pretty funny watching people on here throw their toys out the pram over them.

"literally useless"? Logic would dictate any form of barrier in front of ones face probably has a small percentage of being mildly useful...if not then why (pre covid) did we bother to cough into our hands?

I'll say it again. The app is voluntary and being pinged by it does not mean you have to isolate....isolating from the app is entirely voluntary. The government should be shouting this from the roof tops instead of applying different rules to different types of workers.

with respect, your colleague didn’t HAVE to get tested and doesn’t HAVE to isolate for 10 days (unless the test happens to be positive). Everything about the app is voluntary.

I wouldn't call assessments and tests medical treatments.

I have no issue with the vaccine personally...but its a dangerous and slippery slope for employers to start dictating medical treatments of employees.

I was similar. I had my first jab last week in the afternoon. It was the Pfizer but thankfully didn't feel any side effects other than an achy arm until the next morning.

What exactly are you doing to fight this? Are you mounting a legal challenge, physically protesting or boycotting them? As far as I can see you are just getting hot on a forum and arguing with anyone that happens to disagree with your point of view.

It would not cut the wage bill by all that much if at all. If jobs are not covered on overtime then you will need more staff on the roster or the jobs would be uncovered. More staff means more wages, more uniform, more NI & pension contributions, more training, more holiday and sickness leave.

That is a huge and unjustified leap if I have ever heard one....and quite a dangerous one at that.
