Gibraltar sounds good but I think face masks are still mandatory there?

I'm looking for holiday ideas for countries with no vaccine, testing or mask requirement. It seems like Ireland, Mexico, Norway and the Maldives look viable. But those rules can change any time? What happens if I book a summer holiday and the rules suddenly change? Can I rebook or get a refund?

I didn't wear a mask on my Southern train + bus journey into London today, no one challenged me.

Doesn't that cover train stations as they are boarding a train?

So in a supermarket cafe I can take my mask off, but not in the actual supermarket :rolleyes:

Since the start of summer I've had people sit next to me on Southern's services during rush hour to Victoria. Had no complaints apart from one lady who would only sit next to me if I put on a mask. I declined so she walked off. I've also been on very busy trains from Lewes to Newhaven on those...

I was on a Southern 3 car service from Lewes to Southease on the weekend. It was very busy (full and standing) with hikers and families. I was the only one in the carriage without a mask and people where reluctant to sit next to me even voicing their displeasure.

My friend who works in the British Embassy in Rome is planning to quit his job and come back to England if diplomatic staff are not exempt. He has the vaccine but wants his right to medical privacy respected.

I think a lot of people get confused by my opinion. One can be vaccinated but be against face-masks and vaccine passports. I know a lot of people with that view are anti-vaxxers too, but it's not mutually exclusive.

Been getting the train from quite remote stations such as Southease, Winchelsea and Doleham. BTP were on the train at Southease asking people to mask up as the train was full and standing but not many people listened.

Thinking of getting GWR from London to Cornwall soon and I now don't wear a mask on trains. How hot are the staff on mask wearing?

A better example would be NO EATING SMELLY FOOD sign on the train. It's not illegal to eat smelly food but socially frowned upon. Just like it's not illegal to not wear a mask (in England), but some people think that's socially unacceptable.

I'm specifically not wearing a mask for that every reason. On Southern there are still automated announcements telling people masks are compulsory. I've also given advice to people who sit next to me asking me to wear a mask that this is not a TFL service.

During lockdown I've noticed people less inclined to help people or accept help. For example, a mother was struggling up the station stairs with a pushchair, but she declined my offer of help as I would be within 2m of her baby. The same thing happened with I offered to help an elderly lady...

Lol you remind me of what happend last year. I was waiting at Coombe Junction Halt and a police car came up to tell me to wear a mask! At one of the UK's least used station no less!

Anyone not wearing a mask on TFL buses and if so have they been caught?

At Farringdon today, changing from Thameslink to TFL. No staff bothered to tell me to put mine on when I entered the TFL zone.

So for example, if I'm travelling on a tram I will be required to wear a mask, but when I arrive at Wimbledon as soon as I step from platform 10 to 9 I can take it off (as that is SWR)?
