Pre-covid I had to pay for 1st class to get a seat in rush hour. Now it's not so bad so I can sit in standard.

Is anyone here who was not able to travel and what alternative did the TOC provide? I can imagine many people missing important appointments!

I would have thought it'll be easy to gt a seat at Oxted as it's the start of the line?

I'm pretty sure in the USA, even with the huge suing culture way more then here, most railways aren't fenced off?

Why are they more of an issue? Don't they use the same type of battery?

It's actually very easy to sack them. All police officers are vetted so if they commit misconduct this means they have breached vetting rules.

I've had some weird behaviour from some passengers. Sitting on a window seat from East Croydon to Clapham, someone sat next to me which is fine. But when I politely asked to get up before my stop, she tutted at me and said you could have sat on the outside :rolleyes:

Does that include Oyster fares too?

After last strike it was the same. Also happens if there’s severe disruption like a line closure.

As a regular commuter at East Croydon this happens EVERY time around strikes. I tend to walk to the other entrance which is empty so can get onto the platforms without queuing at the main gateline.

Don't intercity drivers always look down on suburban drivers? Or if you drive a nice new train like the class 700 you look down on someone driving a pacer?

One right makes a wrong. I let a pregnant lady on the train before me. She sat down and put her bag on the seat next to her. That was the only seat free, but she tutted. I told her next time I won't be so polite :rolleyes:

I agree. I've had someone do that to me so I just moved to an empty pair. He then kept stalking me as I put my bag on the seat. As a lone person this was very scary.

Who agrees with not sitting next to someone if there are plenty of double seats in the carriage?

Do the trains have weight sensors like the class 700s?

So what's the quicker way from Paddington Elizabeth line to the Circle line ... up and over, or down via the Bakerloo line?
