    Fatal accident on the DLR

Would Half height Platform edge doors stop someone falling over them? It may make the situation worse for someone who cannot see very clearly or for someone who is wandering about on their mobile especially while waiting for a train.

Another driver asleep on Croydon Tramlink

Next time someone films them, don't just film for 3 minutes. Film for about 1 - 1.30 then bang on the window to see if you get a reaction. That should settle any argument about sleep or medical episode.

    Middle lane driving: your views?

I had a car written off near Cambridge around 1994 when I was driving normally Northwards to Waterbeach at about 8.30 am. The other way came a prat off the short Dual carriageway and carried on in the wrong lane. He saw me and started braking then spinning. I was just about stopped but with...

    Middle lane driving: your views?

Many times I have seen a totally clear motorway at 03.00 in the morning toddling along in lane 1 minding my own, not dawdling, not speeding. You pass a junction and someone joins the motorway ahead and goes straight out to lane 3. Why? Or you have the real pain in the A###. On a single...

As part of the Leeds North West Electrification back in 1993 - 4 a feasability study was undertaken into providing a link to the Airport from Guiseley station using the remains of the Rawdon branch. as far as Rawdon then new alignment to the airport...

    National Express coaches query

I had a recent Coach tour to the French Riviera with a local UK operator. Fuelled with passengers on board. approx 650 miles per tank. fuelled twice each way. Front seats on either side occupied but first 2 rows of seats had extended legroom and reclining seats. Small low level shield behind...

    Sheffield Tram-Train

I assume that there will be no problems if ever the MML gets electrified? I realise that they are using the freight line but would the mainline divert route from Chesterfield be considered for wiring as well? Also is the proposed idea of using these Tram Trains on the Penistone line dead in the...

    Tyne and Wear Metro

Is the road haulier the same one that shifted the trams built at York Carriage works before the place shut down? I seem to remember them being moved in one piece as well.
