1931 LNER Coffee Cups

I have some coffee cups - espresso size - which are dated underneath " 1931" and are LNER items. The design name is " Kesick" ( NOT a mis-spelling, that is how it is spelt ) and the maker's name is " C.E. Bevington 24 Holborn E.C.1 ". IN red, it states REG No 767117.
Can anyone give me any information on these cups ? What routes, trains would they be used on and are they rare or common ?
I'm not bothered about value as I intend to keep them.

Is the OP able to attach a photo?

Kesick china / crockery seems to have been primarily used on London & North Eastern Railway train services in the 1930s, presumably premium Anglo Scottish services out of Kings Cross and up the East Coast mainline towards York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and beyond.

As @alistairlees has posted, examples of Kesick items still seem to occasionally appear at auctions held by specialist auctioneers GW Railwayana Auctions Ltd (Evesham, Worcestershire) from time to time.

No - the spelling is different.
The LNER did have pottery entitled " KeswicK" and " Kesick".
Mine are " Kesick".
I have discovered that the " Kesick" items were used in Scotland but not England.
I cannot find out who or what or where " Kesick" is.

Probably just a brand name.

C E Bevington Ltd. was the London based supplier. Went out of business in 1955, I believe.

Manufacturer was Alfred Meakin Ltd of Tunstall, Staffordshire. Also manufactured tableware for hotels, so not just railway company items. They were in business for just over 100 years between 1875 and 1976.
