Kennington - Battersea Power Station.

I did two trips in and out to get all parts of the approach - to get everything requires arriving and departing from both platforms; I was helped in doing this quickly by an inbound being late at Nine Elms on my revere move so I didn't have to hang around letting another train go first! :D

Finally manages to get a train out of one of the Portsmouth and Southsea low level platforms. Last timecI tried was in 2013, but a tree had fallen on the line, so scuppered that.

It's upto you. I just clear a route if I've been on it in at least one direction hence why I like triangular or circular journeys that can be done on one ticket such as Alton - Worplesdon.
I'm the same at Gathursty. I can think of a few lines that are wholly or partly two track, that I've penned in, in the Baker Atlas, having ridden on in one direction only.:-
eg
Hellifield to Carlisle (3 times northbound, never southbound)
Dumfries to Glasgow Central
Aberdeen to Inverness
Carlisle to Newcastle
Seamer to Hull
Blackburn to Hellifield
Hellifield to Lancaster
LLandudno Junction to Blaneu Festiniog
Bristol to Weymouth
Ashford to Maidstone
Tunbridge Wells to Hastings
Crewe to Stoke
Crewe to Shrewsbury
Oakham to Corby
Uckfield to Oxted
Horsham to Epsom
Havant to Worthing
Doncaster to Lincoln
Derby to Stoke and no doubt others I can't think of right now.

Is it correct that part of the Kyle of Lochalsh line was diverted about twenty years ago? I read somewhere that it was, but I haven't been able to find anything on the internet to confirm that. If it has been, has that spurrred any other track bashers on here to re-clear it?

Probably more like forty or fifty years ago, not sure if it was actually diverted from the original alignment but the avalanche shelter was new around that time.

The line was diverted at Lochluichart in 1954 as the original alignment was required as part of the Lochluichart power scheme.

Edit: 'Railmaponline' shows the Lochluichart diversion but nothing in the avalanche shelter area.

Thank you for clarifying that for me.

Friday 31st December
Kennington to Battersea Power Station (LU)

Unlike the stations, I can't say I've cleared all the track yet (no Watford North Curve)

The only ones I can think of in 2021 (due to another year with little train travel) was Wirksworth to Duffield (preserved line). 3x return trips on the same day last August with 47192.

Also had a couple of runs down to the mainline connection on the Mid Norfolk railway at Wymondham. Furthest prior to that was the run round loop. That was late September and it was top and tailed 47s.
