Just wondering if anyone has an update on 334017?
It was returned to Shields in July, but still has not returned to service.

is there still more repairs to be completed, or has it just been stored due to down turn in traffic?

Many Thanks in advance

How strange. Surely they wouldn’t beginning withdrawing 334s without a replacement on the cards?

No not permanently stored. I meant until final repairs completed and the number of units required increases

There’s been cases in the past of other 334s that disappeared into a black hole at Shields for years. 039, IIRC, was out for something like 2 years.

Eh? I don’t follow. Demics are a common thing - see the Class 333s, for example. Several units have been in and out of operation over a longer period. Doesn’t mean the entire class is about to be withdrawn.

334017 left Shields on Saturday morning back to Yoker CS
It returned to passenger service working to Edinburgh from Garscadden to Edinburgh then to Milngavie, before going back to Yoker CS
It then came back out to repeat the same in the afternoon
