That's great, thanks very much.
Don't suppose we know the numbers of the scrapped carriages?
A couple slipped my attention.

442419 wil be the next to go,
Motorcoach numbers:
442405 - 62944
442407 - 62943
442412 - 62947
442424 - 62960

2423 was pictured at Newport a few weeks ago. I'd guess that has been cut now..
4 coaches of 2401 were cut at Eastleigh last year.

Seen a video from today of a pair of 73s hauling a pair of 442s. The video is captioned something along the lines of "442s off to scrap" but not sure if that is just confusion over the process and they were actually on their way to Wolverton or whether they were actually off to the scrap yard. No-one seems to know the ID of the 442s either unfortunately.

Anyone got any info on this move please?

73201 + 2420 + 73141 arrived at BM to take away 2414. 2420 is being used as a brake force runner and has appeared on many of the previous workings. Units are taken to Wolverton for component removal, before heading to the scrapyard.

To confirm it was 66776 with 73201 442414 442420 as barrier 420 should remain on Depot at wolverton and return in due course like it did this week and do the final scrap moves with 73141 Charlotte on the rear. However due to a incident in the London it left Wembley Carriage sidings wcml main line 30 minutes late.
However for most off its journey it had the whole off the southern off the wcml virtually to wolverton to itself.
And was 28 minutes late through Leighton buzzard when I saw it.

That sounds like the one of mine on this forum somewhere of a BEP rescuing a failed 442 at Surbiton?

Today's formation, arriving at Branksome was:
66722 + 73128, 442420, 73107.

Running almost 2.5 hours late after recessing for two hours at Eastleigh.

There was a 442 coach (or at least I assume it was - it had SWR livery and end doors, so I don't think it could have been anything else) heading west on a low-loader on the M4 earlier today.

I was driving the other way so didn't have a chance to see any details.

Presumably going to Sims at Newport?

Did anyone the number of the unit in tonight's scrap run? My camera was having issues so I can't see it in the video. Looks like it was possibly 2422? Certainly the last number looks like a 2, but 2402 is gone, and 2412 is already at Eastleigh (according to Wikipedia), which would leave 2422.

Tonight's scrap run.

Are the current 442 scrap moves mainly at night, as the day return runs always see the 'brake force' 442420 return to Bournemouth? So are they taken by road to scrap from Wolverton. Thanks in advance.

Yes from Bournemouth to eastleigh. Stays on eastleigh for around 4 hours or so then leaves around 0530 am in morning onwards to wolverton.
So if need move between eastleigh and Wolverton then it's a early start I am afraid.
However yes they do get taken by road for scrap from wolverton I am afraid after part stripped off at wolverton.

Two more to shift 2415 and 2418 (2422 went last night).

Today's working was an hour early at Kew. Wonder how long it'll go into the "Black Hole" at Eastleigh for this evening?

Didn't recess at Eastleigh, so ran in its correct path. Same locos as last night.
Looks like it's 2418 for removal this evening.

This is tomorrow's plan for the final departure of class 442 (2415) from BM:

1230 Wolverton - Eastleigh 1548
1807 Eastleigh - Bournemouth 1941
2200 Bournemouth - Wolverton 0933

That's yer lot!
