Today's move back to Northampton from long marston is 37601 and 350120.
Through berkswell approx 45 late.
However 37601 is full on volume
Epic sound and superb thrash. Fantastic performance from this locomotive.

37510 has just passed through Barnt green around 85 late on the 0658 Northampton to long marston move today Saturday the 17th April 2021.
Taking 350117 for its turn to be refurbished.
So 350117 is the next on the list now to be refurbished.
Also keeping it brief 37510 on full throttle and again in recent weeks in very good health.
So all goes well. Will be out on the return working this afternoon iff anyone needs it.

However it should return later on this afternoon move iff anyone needs it.

Today I caught a train without having to have an official reason for doing so.I mentioned on an earlier post that I wanted to see a 37 on this train at Five Ways, and that is what I did. It didn't disappoint. The sound as it came out of the tunnel at full throttle was something else. Fortunately I took a video which I will post. Meanwhile here are photos of both of today's legs.

Just for your enjoyment, here is my video of Saturdays working at Five Ways.

Is there any news on the two that were involved in the tunnel accident near Watford a few years ago?

I think one of those may have the last two digits 64, but am unsure.

They were 350264 and 350233. Both were put back in service using coaches from 350233 and 264 plus 350246 which derailed at Liverpool South Parkway. All are back in service but the original coaches are mixed between the 3 sets.

After the refurbishment for all of the 30 Class 350/1 Desiros are completed, 10 of Class 350/3 Desiros could have their interiors refurbished at this point.

They are the least in need of those 350s being retained so that makes sense.

Yes, and all of the 50 Class 350 Desiros will be retained except 37 Class 350/2 Desiros that they will go off lease and will be replaced by 45 Class 730 Aventras due to Porterbrook had said that the 350/2s are too expensive to own them and they will be stored away.

Or how about, of the 87 Class 350 Desiros, 50 will be retained. The 37 Class 350/2s will go off lease because the TOC believed the leasing costs - set by Porterbrook - were far too high. Porterbrook wouldn’t actually be the ones to decide their own charges were too high?

On the other hand the fleet numbers are widely known already, it wouldn’t actually be news to many people reading this forum…

Good point. That makes sense, that's the reason why the 37 Class 350/2 Desiros will leave the franchise.

It’s a shame about the 350/2s! I always thought they’d be uncomfortable for long distance services due to the seating, but I could always spend 3hrs on one easy enough! Also the seating is great if you’re in a group, the bays feel massive.

That should leave 350127 as the last 350/1 with a London Midland livery. #getitwhileyoucan
I made a list from this thread in March (post #115} as I wanted to get photos of 37's at the Cross City line stations that don't normally have loco-hauled trains. 350113 is still outstanding and there are photos of it in green on Flickr.

Annoyingly the last two trips have been hauled by 57310. I'll just have to wait and hope that the next one has a 37. Although I like Brush 4's, in the guise of the Class 57 you don't get the authentic Sulzer sound and the coupling modifications are ugly. The 37's sound just as they did when I was spotting in the 70's.

Anyone know why this didn't run on Saturday (it appeared as an STP schedule}?

I'm assuming 57310 came back to Northampton on Monday with refurbished 350119. As anyone seen the EMU since?

Same here.
Also this mornings working was late as well.
Hopefully they do produce a 37.
37s this week are all busy on the worksop moves. Through.
Yes 37 on this final move with a old livery 37 would be good.

I make it there are two still to go - 350113 & 350127. That was the point of my post. So still over five weeks to go before the final one in LM livery goes for refurbishment.

Yes it most certainly did it passed through tile hill very closed to booked time at 1650 hours.
350119 is well and truly back at Northampton.
