Evening.

I want to do a Birkenhead Hamilton Square - Derby day return on Saturday, with the outbound leg via Crewe. But i'd like to return via Sheffield.
Is this possible on a CDR @ £26.00 with a YPR?

I've worked out all the singles possible and it comes to £35, but is it possible to come back via the Stockport route point on a CDR?

Thanks in advance!

The £26 ticket is a SVR.

The journey planners are suggesting going via Sheffield and Crewe for some journeys on Saturday to avoid rail replacement buses in central Liverpool, eg.
17:11 Derby - Sheffield 17:44
18:10 Sheffield - Stockport 18:53
19:04 Stockport - Crewe 19:27
19:50 Crewe - Chester 20:12
20:30 Chester - Birkenhead Hamilton Square 21:06

Hi John, yeah i saw that they are working on the Loop, but its not far to walk from James Street to Lime Street, and my brother would liek to do the Hope Valley. Thanks for the heads up though!

or, to be even more precise, Grindleford to just west of Edale. Was a great route to do on a HST back in 'Project Rio' days!

I find going on a line with great scenery when you can't open a window is very frustrating, and even more so when you consider car drivers are not similarly restricted (double standards as always). But we're in danger of going off topic now... but yeah, it's a nice stretch of line.
