Bullet Train

I just got back from watching Bullet Train.

I've not been in the cab of a bullet train, but I'm not sure that this movie gave an accurate portrayal of how to drive one.

I tried to watch this on Wednesday, and wished that I hadn't!

It is, without doubt, the worst film that I've ever watched. I only managed to stay in the cinema for around 20 minutes, as I was completely turned off by the lack of a plot and the thoroughly unlikeable characters. Including the adverts prior to the film, it's around 45 minutes of my life (not to mention the ticket price) that I'm never going to get back.

I can't therefore comment about the method of driving the train, as I didn't get that far.

I don't think it was a good film, but its nowhere near as bad as Holmes & Watson with Will Ferrell, or Cold Pursuit with Liam Neeson. I stayed awake through it. It should have been 20 minutes shorter, with less pointless CGI (when two trains collide head on, I don't think one will stay on the tracks).

It cost $90m to make, and earned $12.6m on Friday in the US.
