From 1/1 there will be several changes/improvements and this may interest some of you:
a.prices are set in EUR and remain mostly unchanged/or raised very little, in GBP this may even mean lower price.
b.there will be new passes for 7 and 15 days to use in 1 month
c.the period to use the 5 and 10 flexidays will be extended to 5 in 15 and 10 in month.
d.many countries also offer a free return to border or airport, definitely in Germany and Romania, but as for now it is unknown if this applies to all countries. Up till now only a discount would be offered-25 or 50% off full-fare.
It is also unknown if the low-seaon disount of 15% will still apply. However, untillll 31/12 you can order passes to be used till 31/3 with that discount.
For specific info and many tips and suggestions about routings and to avoid high surcharges: forum on en.rail.cc. The German part de.rail.cc is much livelier though.
